A music gig in the rain?

One of the bands I play in is scheduled to play a local (Walnut Creek) Farmer's Market today. It's sprinkling right now, but the rain is supposed to stop until 4 PM, when another front rolls in.
Will people show up, in spite of the weather? Will we get rained on? Will we all get parking tickets for supporting local farmers for next to nothing? Inquiring minds want to know!

I was thinking more along the lines of an album title. With a picture of the parking tickets on the cover.

Walnut Creek is where Little House on the Prairie was filmed. Must be nice there. Hope it turns out well for you.

@TheHorse It ended up not raining all day here. Did it rain while you were performing? Glad people were nice and you had fun!!

@infatuatedbby Just some sprinkles while we were playing. One of our lead vocalists was an hour late getting there, so I played guitar and we had no bass. Once he got there, he played guitar and I switched to bass. That's when things started cooking.

I hope you don't get rained on. As for the parking tickets I would say no, but then what the heck do I know.

@fishtiger58 We have this Winter, thank goodness. But it's been a lot of slow and steady rains. No vicious storms uprooting trees and such.

Last time we played there, I got a $45 ticket, and my band mate got a $250 ticket. The street signs were unclear. It was great that they showed such appreciation for a band donating its time to supporting local farmers. Welcome to California

If they are coming for the entertainment they just might show up others cancel. How many bands are you involved in?

@softbabe44 I am. I enjoy playing music, but it adds to my schedule. Right now, I'm doing progress notes and then grading a few more papers before crashing. Fortunately, I give an exam tomorrow AM and don't have to think.

It is fairly clear at the moment here in the SF Valley. I think people will show up unless it's a major downpour which I doubt.

How did it turn out? I can remember being at an outdoor concert years ago during the Montreal Jazz Festival. It poured buckets that day, and we all got soaking wet. But many of us stayed, and were able to hear more music after the sun came back out

People love Farmers Markets, so you still might get a good crowd. Hope so, anyway.
