Do you have a plan?

I have a plan. My plan is for supper. Hubby got a good deal on a corned beef brisket, and I fixed it. This is not something I am accustomed to eating and it is a bit spicier than I like. There is a lot of it, even though we have had sandwiches and a dish of meat with veggie sides. In my kitchen, there was a spaghetti squash, just waiting to be cooked and shredded. In a cupboard there was a jar of Alfredo sauce. We do not eat pasta, but I will combine the beef and the shredded squash and sauce the whole thing. It will calm down the saltiness and spiciness and we will be happy campers. No real work tonight to eat. Yum.

It is so healthy and easy to use. My dish is simmering now. I added some bell pepper, onions and spices. Topped the whole thing with parmesan cheese. We will go out to get gas in the truck after we eat.

Your supper sounds good! I have no plan for my meals today, I am lazy to cook, hence I just had tuna sandwiches for lunch. For dinner, I think we'll just have some simple food or sandwiches again. Today my plan is to focus on online work in the morning and my freelance project in the afternoon. It's afternoon here, so I need to work hard on my project, and spend lesser time in mylot.

Tuna sandwiches sound very good to me. I like them a lot. I do have to plan to use up foods that will spoil. You are working really hard.

I don't. It's almost 6 o'clock here, and I still haven't the slightest clue what to prepare for supper. When you prepare food day in and day out, it seems daunting trying to come up with new ideas on what to prepare. Of course it does not help that my kids are picky eaters.

Since it is just my husband and I almost anything will work. He was in hog heaven over supper tonight. These are foods I never fixed when my kids were home.

I use spaghetti squash a lot instead of pasta. It works with the meat sauces and all.

When I have corned beef brisket I fix mine with potatoes and cabbage, also carrots and it is delicious all boiled. I have never had it any other way and not sure I would like it this way.

Hubby says with cabbage he gets too much gas. I thought about doing potatoes and carrots but I am needing to do fewer starchy vegetables.

@GardenGerty Ah I see well we all must do what we must do for us. Some of us like things one way and others like them another way.

@Marcyaz Hubby will fix a potato on the side when he has this for his work lunch. I had the squash that needed to be used so it would not spoil.

Oh gosh, you've made me hungry and it's 10:36pm. I had a biggish lunch so I just had 2 pieces of toast for dinner and a mandarin. Your supper sounds delish!

I also have a plan to buy corned beef tomorrow. I'll also get sauerkraut, thousand island salad dressing, marble rye bread, swiss cheese and a jalapeno pepper. My plan is to make Reuben sandwiches.

I also made a Reuben casserole this weekend. All the same ingredients as the sandwich with a little less bread. I have portions of it boxed up for quick meals as well.

Yum on the spaghetti squash which I was considering buying just today but didn't. I like mine with butter and either parmesan cheese or mozzarella. Having more problems with my flash player, so I wanted to post this so it'd be here and then I could add to it. Someone recently told me something they now do when using spaghetti squash that they discovered by accident. THey make it up, and mix it with their marinara or spaghetti sauce, then cover it and put it in the fridge overnight. They said the sauce mixes well with the squash that way so it's much better the next day. They discovered this method when having their leftovers. THey didn't really enjoy it much before it was in the fridge.

I love corned beef, but I can't stand spaghetti squash. And somehow those two just don't go with Alfredo sauce! Amazing, the number of foods, but even more, the different ways different people fix them. I would have fixed the corned beef with perhaps some greens (say, collard) and some fruit (perhaps peaches).

Sounds like a plan to me. We'll be eating leftovers from last night's dinner party so our dinner is sorted too. Enjoy!
