Measuring cups, spoons, weighing scale,

When I just got married I used to follow every recipe exactly the way it was - measuring cups, measuring spoons were bought by the dozen but not any more. I just put a little of this and a little of that picking up the stuff sometimes even with my fingers, pouring water or milk just like that and what comes out is perfect - just perfect.
The only time I follow recipes exactly the way they have been written is when I bake cakes or when I am making wines. Somehow I feel something will go wrong if I did not do that.
My date and walnut cake has, 4 eggs, 170 grams of butter 225 grams of flour, 225 grams of sugar,200 ml warm water, one and half spoon of baking powder half spoon of baking soda, 440 grams of dates and 110 grams of walnuts. I dare not take any chances with it
Your kitchen too must spilling over with all these perfection tools (lol)

But are there no dishes where you need to use measuring cups or other indicators?

LOL! I am not even sure if I own any measuring tools, AllKnowing! Oh, I do have two measuring cups, but I rarely use them to measure anything...
Most of the time I just use a spatula to dip, measure and stir with. Things must turn our all right, since my friends invite themselves over at mealtimes and my daughter and I are not skin and bones. (grinning at you!)

There are some things I measure exactly for. There are others I measure in my hand or 'eyeball' the amount I need to add.

I estimate or calculate if I cook, like a pinch of salt is just a pinch, or i may use the teaspoon and i add more if it lacks taste. we have these measuring spoons but they are rarely used.

Finally our guesses become more accurate than the measuring cups

NOw we can make it too- and it sounds divine- ha! Unfortunately I have to be wheat-free but yes, we mellow after awhile when it comes to our cooking plus we get to know better.

I also have the whole set of the measuring tools. And later I even bought the bread machine since it can make the dough easily. I also bought the noodle machine so that I can make noodles at home. I just want to say that when you love cooking, you will continously buy different kinds of products for cooking.
