I've written previosly about my husband's operation for skin cancer, and his subsequent course of radiotherapy. The radiation was necessary because it was possible that they didn't get all the cancer out. Since this type of cancer is more easily treated than most others, we were very hopeful. It was on his face, just under his eye, and so it was a difficult place to get at properly. We've been to the hospital this afternoon for a check-up, and the good news is that all the cancer is gone. We are so relieved. I sincerely hope that if you or yours have, or have had cancer, that you get good results, like us. ---------------------------------- Photo - some of my flowers last year.

Your flowers are beautiful, and your husband's news is wonderful! I had 5 cancerous tumors removed from my bladder 13 years ago last September, and have been cancer free ever since. Thankfully!

And that second doctor advised me to keep away from the sun henceforth as fair-skinned people are more prone to skin cancer. I have been riding a motorcycle for 17 years but was forced to let go of it because I already had 2 daughters for the whole family riding on a single motorcycle. I regretted later though for selling my motorcycle because I had taken good care of it and it always looked new and all accessories were intact and functioning. The next time I saw my motorcycle with the new owner, it broke my heart seeing its shabby condition.

@jaboUK The fact is that most cancers are now completely curable as long as they are detected early enough and detection and identification are getting better all the time.

@owlwings That's very encouraging to hear that - they are making good progress in treating some cancers now, aren't they?

That is wonderful news! Unfortunately, we are not normally that lucky in our family with cancer. Still, it is nice to hear that some people have better luck than we do. By the way, I don't remember posing for your picture. I do look lovely in your photo, though, don't I?

@jaboUK I am just glad that not only did you capture my good side but also I wasn't doing anything embarrassing when you snuck up on me. There are two "c" words that are unmentionable in my house and strike terror in me when I hear them - cancer and cockroaches.

@jaboUK I understand exactly how you feel with it hanging over you. I went through that cancer scar with my husband just a few months ago. He went down so fast in the last six months, that I thought he must have lung cancer. He has COPD, and has had it for ten plus years, but now it is so much worse. He was put on Oxygen Jan 28th.

My mother is also undergoing radiotherapy at the moment. She needs to go to the hospital for a month for the treatment. I buy Prosure for her. Radiotherapy is still damaging on the body despite the assurance of the doctors, and Prosure is the only product in the market especially formulated for cancer patient.

@jaboUK Over here, cancer is so prevalent, and we are no longer shocked when someone gets cancer. Anyway recovery rate is very high for first time cancer. It is the relapse that is scary. I think after this round of radiotherapy, my mum is more or less cancer free. Do get Prosure for your husband. It will be a great help. In fact, my mum puts on weight!

I'm sorry about your mother @scheng . My husband had to have 9 continuous days of radiotherapy in January, but thankfully there have been no side effects. I've not heard of Prosure. I hope your mother will be fine.

Cancer is amongst the most dreaded disease or it is the most dreaded disease . But because of technology , they can still be arrested when they are discovered earlier . I am hoping your husband will already be totally cancer free now .
