Walmart in-store pick up was a breeze!

Last week on Walmart's Website, I ordered 2 - Barbell Cast Iron Kettlebells in 10lbs & 15lbs and chose in-store pick up for free delivery. My expected delivery date was Thursday (4/14) but I received a notification yesterday (2 days earlier than expected) that my order was ready for pick up! I didn't have a chance to pick them up yesterday, but went today and the in-store pick up feature was a complete breeze!
No lines at 4pm - I showed the sales associate/cashier my barcode, she scanned my phone and went to go get my order in the back. I signed the receipt and I was out the door with my order.
What's great is the in-store pick up is conveniently on the left of the store once you walk in the doors!
Even better is that I got a pretty sweet deal for the kettlebells. All the Kettlebells are currently on sale– essentially the weight you buy is the price. They can easily be $30-40 each but I got both for cheaper than how much one is originally worth plus I had some gift cards I accumulated from E-Poll to lower the cost and I went through eBates and earned 1% back ($0.40 cents, better than nothing).
Have you ever had items to Walmart shipped in store to get free shipping? Do you receive great pick up service, too? Walmart is way better than the service I had at Sears!

Do you use Savings Catcher online with Walmart? I have some money on there I will use some how. It's a great savings option too.

Our site to store is a nightmare! It always takes so long to just get someone to come to the counter then it always seems like you are bothering them. Last year I ordered a pool (a huge one) They were mad that I needed help carrying it out. The box was literally bigger then me and heavy that one took almost an hour just to pick up.

That is horrible service. What do they expect you to carry a huge pool by yourself? Wow,
I didn't have any problems - it was 25lbs total and the lady was nice.
I hope you get better service if you plan on using site to store in the future again.

@infatuatedbby I use site to store often because I get points for shopping online I just dread the pickup process. Sometimes I try convincing my husband to pick up my stuff on his way home.

In store pick up can be awesome as like you saw they can have lower prices online then at the store. Free pick up is great! I like the cash back points I get from shopping through mypoints at walmarts website. It takes so long for the items to reach the stores around me though. I always get notices that there is a delay and that I have to wait a few extra days for what I have bought. A simple DVD took over 2 weeks to get to the store pick up.

I hate when the expected deliver is delayed. I have been lucky lately on orders arriving earlier than expected. I go through eBates and got 1% cash back. Not much but it surely adds up.
I'm expecting a check for like $18 bucks in May.

I've never used in store pick up, but they did deliver a bunch of catfood to our door for free. When catfood is on sale, we stock up so we bought enough to qualify.

I think over a certain amount it's free shipping to home which is even better. But free shipping is if you spend over $50 bucks.

wow, youre pretty good at this stuff -- good deals, rebates and what not.
i havent tried walmart shopping cause we dont have one here. although we have several places to shop just like walmart but i dont know if they offer this kind of feature that you pick the item from the store once youre done shopping online. we'll that would be cool and hassle-free.

I love finding good deals especially for essentials I need, or my family/boyfriend.
It'd be very convenient if a lot of stores offer pick up especially if it's free shipping too.

I think you can put in a suggestion for them to have a drive-in pick up for the items, similar to the fast food drive-in service.
In this case, you can drive in, let them scan the bar code, and then drive on to a pick up counter to wait for the staff to put the items into the car boot.
Isn't that better? you do not even have to walk a step!

@infatuatedbby Yes, the other shoppers will be glad too.
That means they can get parking lots easily.

That's a great idea! They have that now at some take out places and Sears (lol). And, at Sears - Supposedly if your items don't get delivered out to your car within 5 minutes you can score a $35 gift card. I read it on a blog but haven't seen the sign for that personally.

I didn't have luck with the Walmart pick up, they couldn't find my order the first time, the second time, no one was in line and they wanted me to wait for the cashier to come back from her lunch break. Asked for the manger, he apologized and took care of it.
