Frightened by my little girl

I usually wake up in the middle of the night to do my work. My little girl sometimes still wakes up in the middle of the night too. If she doesn't see me in the room, she might cry or sometimes she'll come down stairs and look for me.
I woke up early as usual, and worked on my freelance project for hours. I felt really hungry, and I walked out of my study and looked at the dinner table, wondering what I should eat. I was talking to myself out loud. Then suddenly, I saw someone standing next to me and smiling at me. It was still in dark, though there was light from my study.
I was really frightened, by this little cheerful girl. Glad that she was not scared by me. Glad that both my children are not easier to be frightened as me too. Of course, when I found out it's my little girl, I just laughed. I just found it really funny, as I was talking to myself without realizing she was coming nearby. I decided to go back to sleep together with her.
Are you easily frightened by others?

Not easily frightened but startled when someone is in my precious in the dark. Those first few seconds can really scare the life out of you before you realize who it is.

Aww well that must have made you feel good when you saw her smiling up at you like that. I would have wanted to go back to bed and cuddle with her as well if it was my daughter. I am going to go take a shower now and shut down my computer. Once my man gets home I will be going up to bed next to my daughter who sleeps in my be as she is afraid to sleep in her room.

Yes, every time she gets up, I will have to accompany her until she falls asleep. I am happier to see her smiling than crying, at least she feels good.
I am still co-sleeping with both of my children.
Hope you'll enjoy spending time with your man.

I am easily frightened when I least expect it. Very cute how your daughter was not scared also and so cute you both went back to bed together!

I would be frightened too , specially when it's dark and only some outside lights are lighted .
Good thing , your daughter is not someone who easily gets scared .

I am sometimes easily startled, but not often. When I was younger it happened much more. My children liked it because after I got startled I would usually laugh really hard, almost until I would cry.

It depends. I don't usually get shocked or frightened. But considering it was in the wee hours of the morning and it was dark, i might have been frightened too.

My oldest son is very good at scaring anyone. He is so quiet and he will stand in a corner somewhere when you least expect it and jump out when you walk by. He gets me all the time. Lol

My elder brother does that, but sometimes I get to scare my mom with me noticing it
