She had it twice - 1

Two times my sister went through a situation more or less similar.... First time: (I wrote about it years ago) In those days I was in hostel, preparing for our placement rounds. It being around new year I was almost alone. Barring a few of us final year students, others had gone home to enjoy vacations. And me being me, I was regularly skipping meals. (In my defense, you should have tasted the canteen food!) Even canteen was less operational due to down business time. My sister was in the same city, pursuing her own course. And then she decided to visit me. To check if I am eating properly. To this date, I have not found how to tackle this family inspection. And so she came. I was able to convince her all was honky dory what with my fluffy face (courtesy some special junk food). And then it was time to drop her off. Unfortunately, we couldn't find any auto and we had to walk a mile to the bus stand. Can't express how guilty I was feeling, kind of worthless host. Near the bus stand she decided to make me have lunch right in front in front of her. We went to a restaurant, and had our meal. That's when I felt it. While walking, we had been in bright sun and here in restaurant it was kind of cold. My system was down due to previous fasting days and found it hard to cope with the temperature change. I felt kind of dizzy. Out we came and she saw some interesting ornaments. Decided to check it out. I was standing politely beside her while the sun shone over our heads. And then, very rapidly my lights started getting out. I mumbled something to vendor, something like "I need a support..." or whatever. Don't exactly remember. My sentence finished or unfinished, I collapsed. Next thing I knew there was a crowd around me and someone was sprinkling water on my face. Soon my hearing restored and then the vision came back. Saw the face of my sister.... Till this date I feel ashamed for causing his to her. It was supposed to be my place. She knew no one there. And then this... So this was the first incident. What happened later is not of much importance. What is important is what she went through.

I would have blamed it on the pollution and the heat and the Sun. But then you cannot lie to your family. At least I will not and neither will you. So a better alternate would be to have at least some bread and butter or jam handy at your place (I know this advice might be too late). Are you still the same choosy foodie types?

Polite with sister...I'd rather prefer role of an aunt then...hugs... Politeness scares me.

Okay, then I have something to shield me from your onslaughts! She was very authoritative about my diet and all. Why mom could only advise on phone, sister used to come visit (or call me to hers) whenever she pleased, as we lived in same city. One tends to appear polite in such cases... Am sure you remember my first post about it. Something to do with you there. And I steer clear of all aunts....

We always have something to go through. The best thing, our family always there to support each other.

That's true :) But sometimes I wish they didn't ask me about the food! My father till recently used to do this. It was his "item number one" ...

I am not sure where to begin, YOU! I think the first thing I want to say is that I am glad your sister was there when you needed someone. The second thing I want to say is that I am glad you were okay and honestly hope you are taking better care of yourself now. I would dislike hearing that anything like this ever happened to you again. I understand you did not wish to cause your sister problems, but would you have been better off if this had happened when none of your family were there to help you? (You might consider what could have happened to you had she not been there, instead of feeling guilty because it happened while she was there.) I do understand that you are a picky eater and the foods available might not have been to your particular liking, but eating something is always better than going hungry, if you can avoid it.

I am sorry, I know it is hard to eat foods from canteen which doesn't use proper oil, no proper cleaning, no proper bowling stuff etc etc Moreover in holiday time they reduce the variety of food available. You should know one thing feeling of meeting brother-sister after long time actually make the things which went wrong ignorable. So I don't think she would be complaining about anything believe me. I had horrifying experience with fasting and not eating proper food- I just thank god for rescuing me from it. I don't want to remember that day!! I would be suggesting - Buy Kellogg + Milk or Bread butter --jam-- cheeze + some fruits( keep them switching ) in the morning -- Bring pan - Induction cooker-- along with you. Learn to cook rice at least -- dalkhichadi is easy to make -- rest you can order from good hotel ( Believe investing 30 rupees extra is better then going for cheap food) I was bit relaxed after reading - you collapsed when you were with your sister. I would like to repeat the same thing again -- You should not worry about her -- Because I know her happiness has subsided the situation she was in @daddyevil -- Thank you for suggesting it to me...
