My New Car Has Arrived

In all honesty I have to say it isn't a brand new car but it is a new car to me. My 2011 Nissan Sentra is just the cutest little car. I have to admit that this photo I took does not really do it justice but it has a moon roof, a spoiler and a built in GPS. I drove it home today without a key, it is so strange to someone who has always used a key to drive. I am pretty excited. A little poorer but still excited. I hope you have had some excitement in your day.

many blessings with your travels in your new car - I have a button ignition as well and it took some getting used to.

Congratulations on your car! I hope you get many good and safe years out of it! I love white. My hubs had our white SUV washed and detailed today.

I am a little afraid of a white car that I will have trouble keeping it clean but if we take it to Florida, it really should be white or at least a light color.

@BelleStarr Black is the worst to keep clean. You'll be pleasantly surprised. We have three cars with keyless ignitions.

@BelleStarr White is a good color for here, At least it ain't red as that color gets hit more often than some of the others

It is always good to trade up to a newer model. You will enjoy the car I am certain, we all do when we trade up.

We have never named our cars. I don't know why. I did name one once but then promptly forgot to ever call it by its name then forgot what the name was.

It's very nice, I would love the moon roof and especially the built in GPS. that's very cool. Have fun with it. And yes it would be strange not to use a key. Bet that will take some time to get used to.

It is a little strange especially since you have to have the remote with you in order for the keyless to work. Ah new technology!! Gotta love it.

@fishtiger58 I would too and actually, in the remote there is a removal key, it is soooo weird!!

Ah that is a nice looking car. I bet the sun roof is nice and spoilers are always good. Built in GPS is a good thing to have. No key really I have never driven a car without a key either.

It does seem off but you have to have the remote opener with you r you can't start the car so while you don't put anything in the ignition you still need to know where your remote is. lol

Last Saturday I went and bought a new car, the same as you new to me. I got a 2014 Hyundai Sonata. I was telling my husband that I wish that it told me mileage between fill-ups and he says I'm sure that it does. So we went through the trip button and sure enough it has 2 trips, so I reset it and when I fill up this weekend I will remember to reset the trip so that I can see how many miles between the fill-ups. It also tells me how many miles to the gallon I'm getting. right now I'm at 33.4 on my first tank of gas. I hope you enjoy your new vehicle as much as me.

It is a nice size car, its about the same size as my little Chevy Cruz, and it fits into almost any parking space with the greatest of ease, yet it rides nicely. However it doesn't have a moonroof, it also doesn't have the leather interior which was on the other model that we looked at. But the other model was at a dealership that my husband doesn't trust nor will he deal with, and dealerships in our area no longer trade vehicles any more. Now all you need to do is name your car and enjoy it!

@crazyhorseladycx oh yes they can be quite temperamental. Of course it depends how they are set, one option is the fastest route, one is the most direct and there are others so that may explain some of the issues.

@BelleStarr the aunt insisted i take her gps with me'n one'f my emergency runs to tennessee some years back. mind'ja, i've made that trip many times with no troubles, but 'twas curious 'bout't. seems it'd troubles with o'erpasses?? coz it'd always tell me to exit right 'fore 'em 'n then to get back'n the interstate right 'fter. it also didn't comprehend that back'n the hills, there's typically 3 roads jest a breathe 'way from each other 'n 'twas prone to tellin' me the wrong'un to take. one day i listened to't (still aint sure's to why?) 'n wound'p drivin' some loggin' road'n the midst'f nothin' with no place to turn 'round. should'a taken me 'bout 35 minutes to get to the hospital dad was'n. instead, took me nearly 3 hours!

@MarymargII It is not quite as peppy as the Forrester which has great get-up-and-go but is is smooth and handles well. I sit very comfortable too which is what I first liked about it.
