Oh, I like mornings

We will be leaving soon, but I stepped out to check on something outdoors.
The temperature is perfect, the sun is shining and a variety of birds are greeting the day.
We have not fixed up a "morning place" yet, but we will soon.
One of my fondest memories was of having coffee on the porch with hubby.
Although there are beautiful stars at night and sounds of night animals, I certainly like mornings. Guess I am a lark. I know they call us larks for morning people and owls for the evening appreciators.

I think it is because they greet the morning with song. We have a couple of meadowlarks I hear here occasionally.

@GardenGerty The first birds to sing in the morning are the blackbirds here.

we once had a balcony, and had chairs out there, was an amazing place to sip drinks and wake up

That would be great. My dad's parents built a house into the side of the hill. Back door was at ground level, front porch was up in the air, a balcony and lots of extra enjoyment.

It is slightly chilly here right now so I won't be going outside for a while and we only have the two chairs out there now. Really need to bring the others chairs up and sit them outside. I have a fond memory of drinking coffee with my husband every morning also.

We need a porch or patio or something. You take care and wait until it is warm enough for you.

I always like early mornings because of the peace and quiet before the world wakes up in a blaze of noise.

We do not have too much noise here, and I am thankful. But it is great to hear the natural sounds as you start the day.

I have never decided whether I am a morning or night person. I enjoy those early mornings when the dew is still on the grass and birds are singing. The sun slants just so... and a cup of tea is heavenly. But I also enjoy a quiet, starlit night when the birds are chirping sleepily and a stump or a stone calls me to just sit.

Yes, the evening has its charm. I think the trick is to have a nap in between and enjoy them both.

Our birds start up early in the mornings too. The magpies in particular warble away and many of the little birds come in for their first bath. I'm sure some must have more than one a day.

Mornings are beautiful to see since it means another day for me to work in the house.

I used to be an owl but as I get older, I seem to be turning into a bear, wanting to hibernate all the time.

So many people do not like mornings, but they really miss out on some of the best time of day.

Heather, everyone has to be what they are. I have a very hard time staying up at night. I love the quiet in the mornings.
