Climbing Roses

Every time that I look outside the window of my office room I see this beautiful bush of yellow climbing roses.
In spring the roses bush is in full bloom and almost cover the old stone archway.
I have tried several times to clone those roses, but without success.
Today I have saved several pages that explain how to clone a rose.
As soon as the flowers wither, I will cut a 6 inches stem and follow the instructions.
Have you ever successfully cloned a rose?
If you have suggestions to give me I will be grateful.

I have found several gardening pages, I will try again following their instructions. The odd thing is that there are roses growing in my garden that I have never planted. The seeds come from the roses of our neighbor. As always when the plants want to grow they do not need a human help.

@LadyDuck God created things in such a magnificant ways. I remember seeing a plant wind itself down into the ground. They used timed video taping to show it. Wow was that ever awesome. God You are so good and so awesome the way You made everything!

@LadyDuck dependin' 'pon the rosebush, many'll not grow from seed - they're hybrids :( but, they will from doin' cuttings. 'nother thingy ya can try's to lay a branch 'long the ground, cover with soil 'n put somethin' heavy'n that section - it'll root. i'd not separate't from the "mother" 'til next year, but that's always been a fail-proof way i've done 'em fer years. best'f luck!

WOW what a pretty picture that makes, one can hardly see the leaves. It is very difficult to grow Roses in Mangalore where I live because the weather is too hot throughout the year and the monsoons are severe, not at all good for roses..

Very nice ..I like to look at flowers. My back yard has a lot of them.. I do a lot of transplanting by cutting stems off and starting them else where.

That would be lovely if you could do it. I always admire climbing roses and my mother would just plant the stem in water till it rooted- is that what you mean?

@LadyDuck But Anna, maybe not all plants will grow this way. You should look it up for climbing roses or ask at the nursery.

I wish I had a green thumb but so far my attempts at growing plants and flowers are unsuccessful.
Good photo, even better looking flowers!

That is a beautiful photo Anna. Toward the end of summer a friend gave me some cutting of some pink roses I admired. The cuttings have been in the ground for a couple of months now and seem to be surviving, but I won't know till summer. They are bush roses though, not climbing roses.
