Interesting visit to the doctor today

The doctor wouldn't refill some of my prescriptions until I went in for a visit so I made an appointment and went in today. I thought he was going to yell at me for never getting the bloodwork he requested done but that never even came up. Instead he asked how I was feeling since my sleep apnea has been treated for the past month with the CPAP machine. I told him that I've been like a new person and that I had to thank him. He noted that my blood pressure was on the low end of normal and much lower than the last visit. . . and that treated sleep apnea tends to cause blood pressure to lower. He asked how I felt about cutting back on one of my BP medicines. (I take several) I said I was willing to try it because he and I both agree that I take too much medication. So he cut the dosage of one of them in half and we shall see. I am interested to see if the number stays where it is or if it creeps back up. . . which I really hope it doesn't. Stay tuned! Do you take blood pressure medicine? Have you ever suspected that you have sleep apnea?

I got tested in Wyoming. They said I have it, but not enough to warrant a mask.

screw insurance companies. "yes, you stop breathing when you sleep, but not often enough per hour for us to help you". WTF

I do take blood pressure medication but the doctor has never asked about my sleeping or if I might have sleep apnea. I hope that decreasing your BP meds works. I hate taking any kind of prescription meds

I take way too many meds. I hate filling up the pill caddy. My goal is to get off of most of them.

Wouldn't it be great if you could get off of some of your medications?
