Yep, and they probably learned a LOT of new words while they watched me fight to start the van this morning.
They're a bit used to me, they are right under the carport at head level and see me get in and out of the van all the time, I've been watching them grow from ugly featherless chicks to young teenagers...looks like they'll be leaving the nest soon.
Anyway, the van was throwing a fit this morning, and I was out there with a battery charger (which did no good) and climbing under to check the starter (which did no good) and FINALLY traced it down to corrosion on the inside of the positive battery clamp.
Pretty sure they were relieved to see me stop cursing.

You should have at least covered their ears first!

It's gonna be a bit sad when I go out there soon and the nest is empty again

My poor van is an old telephone van, it's had a rough life. I ought to retire the poor thing...seriously, the tires are almost bald.

@Asylum My fault - I was referring to a typo in your auto complete and autocorrect can be a real nuisance post, made me smile!

The "kids" are growing up so fast! I love your picture and they are so cute with those little tufts of feathers! I'm sure they will forgive you for your choice words. Sorry you had trouble with the van this morning, but at least you figured out what the problem was and it was nothing expensive!

@JolietJake I hate it when that happens! Something that we overlook that is really an easy fix. I'm glad you got if figured out and didn't have to call him! Saved you some money and embarrassment!

Were you cussing up a blue streak. I am being picky and would say that they were relieved to hear you stop cursing.

It's not good to curse especially in front of young ones for surely they will copy all that you said. Anyway, good to know you have chicks in your carport.

Yeah, but sometimes a good ol' (expletive deleted) is the only proper word
