Hey, everyone!
I just wanted to take a moment to make you aware of something that just happened to me. I was reading a discussion here on myLot when my page was suddenly redirected to another site.
I hadn't clicked on anything, but the page I was brought to looked like an Adobe Flash Player download page.
It wasn't, though... the page was on a domain other than Adobe.com.
And it tried to get me to automatically download an .exe file... which is probably a virus.
The problem is most likely with one of the ad networks. I've made Bugs aware of it, so hopefully it will be taken care of soon.
If you happen to run across this, please cancel the download and use your browser's back button to return to myLot.

I had viruses on my computer and recently had to have some work done on it to get rid of them. That Adobe Flash page is what I was getting. Every day that site would come up and then I would get a notification on my computer that my anti-virus software had just gotten rid of some malware. I would have your computer checked for viruses, malware and trojans. Perhaps My lot needs to check in this also.

@yukimori ....Yes, it started as nothing on mine too. And I keep mine well maintained as well. My daughter using my Wifi is what did it to mine. Not happening again.

@celticeagle Let's just say that there's a reason my husband doesn't use my computer regularly.
I have to rescue his about every 6-12 months if I don't keep up on running scans on it while he's at work. He somehow manages to get the obnoxious things that completely lock you out of your computer, throw up threatening messages about how the FBI is ZOMG gonna get you for downloads that were done over your network connection, and demand that you go buy XYZ prepaid card and enter the details on their secure form to pay the FBI guys off so they don't come knocking on your door TODAY!
Thankfully it doesn't take that much to get that stuff wiped from the drive and the computer back in top shape, but I tend to drag it out for a day or three. It makes him more careful about keeping up on the anti-virus when he's not able to play his online games with his friends.

I got the same Adobe thing and handled it the same way. I know my Adobe is not out of date, I just updated it. I was thinking that maybe it was just my fat and awkward fingers.

@yukimori I just had it happen again on this post. I found no way to contact mylot to tell them about it though.
I was watching TV when I saw that Sesame Street has an HIV positive muppet. I never knew that there was an HIV positive muppet before. The character's name is...

Several times when firstn opening mylot I have gotten that flash player page. I'm pretty sure the first time I did hit to download. I sure hope that's not why my laptop isn so slow now!

That hasn't happened to me here yet, but that would totally irritate me.
But I have seen similar things happen on earning sites . . . I hate that!!
