I'm getting a little bit better on bass with each gig. Western Swing allows for some walking bass lines, which I enjoy doing.

@JudyEv Yes, Western Swing has some interesting chord progressions. And doing some walking makes even 1-4-5 songs sound more interesting.

It sounds like you have a fun filled busy weekend. I did not do much yesterday, and today I have to attend a wake for a family member that passed away. I'd rather be singing or listening to someone else singing.

@TheHorse Thank you. I was particularly difficult because about 4 years ago 2 of my 3 brothers and my mother told me to do something or I was no longer part of the family. I am not a fighter and I have not had anything to do with them since. Today my mother asked for a hug and she quietly told me she was sorry. It was not the time nor the place, and I told her such. Oh life can be so difficult at times can't it?

How do you mean, "still" perform? I prefer "jamming" to performing, but I've started to enjoy the whole gigging thing as well.

It`s good to be busy, stops your mind wandering and maybe thinking of unnecessary things.How was the attendance?anyway, it`s not always who comes but the pleasure of knowing people like your band enough to come and listen

Sweet, how cool! Which one is you - which instrument do you play? Or do you sing? What a cool hobby to have, even if it's a small gig. Keep it up. My weekend has also been pretty busy, but it's winding down as I have to work tomorrow.
