So remember when I was called "old" the other day by the girl who's staying here with us?
Well...guess who is washing the dishes right now? 
Yeah she implied how old I am again today-so she told me to sit down on the couch and relax and she would do the dishes for me. 
Since that is my most hated chore I decided not to argue...I am too "old" for arguing with an 18 year old anyway I suppose.

@LovingMyBabies Oh yea, I would feel the same way, that is for sure. I don't have the pleasure of that, so if I don't do them, they don't get done, which I put off all the time anyway.

I think it is actually very nice of her. Nowadays not many 18 years old would readily offer help. Forget help they wouldn't even know how to talk respectfully.

If someone was going to take over my chores, I wouldn't mind them calling me old. Heck, they could call me old all day so long as they participated in the daily chores. Enjoy the down time and let the youngin' clean! Ha ha ha.

@GardenGerty Her father doesn't want to argue with her stepmother about it because the stepmother doesn't want her there. They don't speak to anyone else in the family so it was us or them. He asked my husband to save him some trouble with his wife.
