It is the jack fruit season here

I am still waiting for someone to harvest these fruits which need to be carefully brought down as, if they fall down they will crack. I had the first jackfruit feast yesterday. They tasted great. I will be using them to make many sweet dishes. Jackfruits can also be cooked when they are a bit raw. Cleaning them is quite a chore though. Have you eaten jack fruit? If not help yourself

We have a tree of jackfruit before. I agree with you that jackfruit is very delicious. Our trees before bear so much fruits that we sold some. We got extra income from our trees.

Here there is no demand unless they are exported. I am told in other places where these fruits are imported they are very expensive.

@silvermist As I have often complained climbers are nowhere to be seen and so self help is what I was recommending

I would love to try some, but I imagine they do not ship well. They certainly look different all cleaned as compared to a discussion you posted in February.

I am not very interested in jackfruit. It is not a very juicy fruit and therefore it is not my favorite type of fruit.

Wow, I love jackfruit. We have them here in the Philippines too. They're so sweet, but eating them is a bit messy. The goodness is worth the mess though. You end up having this sap sticking in your hands and it is quite a hassle to remove them. It's been a while since I tasted jackfruit though.

I never had a jackfruit. I've seen it used in cooking shows. I have to see if it's available in my area and in season.

First of all i wonder why I never saw any of your posts after the 'Audrey Hepburn ' one. Why do i miss them/ now i am searching via user name. yes raw jack fruit vegetable is a special dish but i need someone to do the cutting and cleaning up for me. As for the ripe ones, my mother says they are almost ready in their garden so I hope to get some when I go for my summer holidays.
