The smell is driving me crazy!

The friend who invited me to this apartment building (a seven plex) just took me over to the local meat market. We bought carne asada, chicken, pico de gallo, tortillas, and guacamole. Then we went around to the back of the store where there was a big grill, and they cooked our meat for us, seasoned it too.
Since my neighbor has a big dog who can reach the counter with his mouth, and the meat needs to stay at room temperature, I'm babysitting it. And it smells tantalizingly awesome! I can't wait till tonight, when we'll have a bit of a welcome dinner put on by the neighbors.
I've never felt this happy or this welcomed. As for you, have you ever had a store cook your purchase for you?

Though it's a bit strange, the meal was one of the healthier ones I've had recently. The chicken was very lean and the only carbs or fat were from the very small tortillas and the guacamole.

I have been to restaurants that cook while you watch and I believe some of the stores will do it as well.
