I may become a hypocrite in November

Things are not looking good. This may be the year I do what I have yelled at people for. I may decide to not vote for anyone. I've always said 'If you don't vote, don't complain', and have insisted it was a person's 'duty' to vote even if they thought their candidate couldn't win. The problem appears to be finding 'my' candidate. I'm not crazy about anyone I've seen. So I may just stay home November 8th and bar the doors and windows...because from what I've seen, whomever gets elected, some of us are going to get shafted...deep...with no Vaseline.

I do not like Hillary by any means by any means but Donald Trump is a freaking nightmare that you can't wake up from. He just keeps getting worse! Makes my choice easy.

I hate Trump, but I still hate Hillary, and I would be presenting myself with falseness if I voted for her.

@jolietjake I feel your pain. That's so impolite of them not even to ease things with a bit of Vaseline.

Although my first choice was not nominated, I have no problem voting for Trump when the only other choice is Hillary. The only experience she has is working the system to benefit herself financially. Trump will actually do more for minorities and women than Hillary. Did you know that women who work for the Clinton Foundation make less than the men for the same work? Yet Trump's female employees and minority employees say they've never had a better boss. Trump understands real world work and has actually been successful in his profession. He uses his own money and resources more generously than Hillary does to help people. Hillary prefers to use our money. I think if Trump wins, many of you will be pleasantly surprised.I don't think I'd want my children to model themselves after him morally, but his personal actions are no worse than those of JFK and are probably better than those of Bill Clinton. Trump is not going to go off half-cocked into a war. He personally would have too much to lose. He will be better at stopping the terrorism because he will take the handcuffs off our intelligence agencies and let them do their jobs. The Florida and San Bernardino attacks could have been prevented if the Obama administration had not ordered that the intelligence records of hundreds of people with known ties to terrorist jihadi groups be deleted from the federal database. All the intelligence that had been gathered was just wiped off the computers. The source for this information is Philip Haney, who was with the DHS for 15 years. There is plenty going on that the media is not talking about. One has to research it. Someone has to free us from political correctness if we are to remain free. Trump is telling us what he proposes to do. Hillary is telling her base what they want to hear and will do what she's always done -- serve herself. She has a record in politics. What positive things has she actually accomplished? What moral leadership has she displayed? Her side has been in power for eight years and what good have they done the country? The same promises she's making now have been made before and not kept. She has broken the law for her own convenience, but will probably be protected by the Justice Dept. The media is in the tank for Hillary and are only going to tell you one side of the story and they are misquoting Trump by quoting him out of context to make him look worse than he is.He sometimes says things I wish he wouldn't, but he's not under FBI investigation for risking the security of the United States and breaking the same laws others have been jailed for. Trump gains nothing by being President. He will actually lose money by being away from his businesses. Hillary seems to get much richer when she's in high office. Hillary pretends to be something she's not so that people will think she's more like them. Trump is what you see. He's not hiding who he really is.

@birishjames I disagree. I think Trump will take necessary preventive action to prevent more terrorists from entering the country, but I am afraid Obama is already making it so easy for them to get here among the refugee population that the next president will have an almost impossible job trying to keep track of those already here.

you have a point there Barbara trump might not be just who we need who in their right mind vote for Hillary but when it comes down to it trump will do no better

I think that you should vote, just remember to bring a coin with you to toss before you make your mark on the ballot.

I could always toss a knife instead...if it sticks a Democrat, I vote Republican, and vise-versa.

It is a bit too early here, because our elections will be in May next year and all parties have not decided who will be their candidate. But apparently the situation is better than yours : quite all our candidates are offering the vaseline.

@JolietJake Everything might happen, and our actual President has never followed his program. I guess that Donald Trump would also not be able to follow his program, and not only the bricklayer part. I do not like Hillary Clinton, but I find her program not bad, at least viewed from Europe where we have already many things that she propose on the social aspect that we consider important : cheap college education, same wages for women, better minimum wage...

I think that until November 8 has a lot of time and you can change your mind and go still to vote. Many people from our generation, I'm 27 years old think like you but I think it is very wise to vote and allowing other people to take power and see if they will not make any new changes to us useful.

With the Donald, though, it will be painful and probably bloody. I don't want him to have the power to send our troops anywhere in a fit of anger.

Not voting is also an option and instead of giving someone who doesn't deserve it the vote, it could be better to stay home.

Right on! I haven't voted for many a year for the same reason. Could not stand the Bushes. Didn't vote for Obama. I think it will be a close race. I would love to see a woman in office.
