My laptop upgraded to Windows 10, whether I wanted to or not. I do not know if the problem with my pictures is that upgrade or if it is more because me taking pictures with hubby's new camera. I am feeling a little growly right now.

That's something I dread - it uploading 10 without my permission. Regarding photos - I bought a new camera and the photos from it won't post on here

The photo problem sounds like ours. I will let you know if I find where the instructions are to resize things.

@GardenGerty A good friend told me to go to 'paint.net' but I couldn't seem to get where I wanted. It said download this, then download that etc, and I gave up in the end.

@GardenGerty My daughter solved my camera problem by changing the 'resolution' on it. It was set on maximum, and she put it down to the minimum.

I turned off the automatic upgrades and installed a small piece of software to prevent windows to upgrade to Windows 10.

Too late for me now and I knew it was inevitable. I just have to learn how to use it. I think it is turned off on my desktop. I am using my laptop on vacation.

@GardenGerty Sooner or later I will also have to learn to use Windows 10. I have bought a very inexpensive laptop with this system installed, but for the moment I prefer to use my old desktop and Windows 7.

The upgrade happened to one of the mylotters here and she started having problems with her photos too. I think it mught be because of the upgrade.

I will research the photos when I am back at home. I can do it on my desktop easier than on my laptop.

I have some issues on my laptop with it. It is not being offered on my desk top probably because I did it once then had it removed.

I had heard this was going to happen. We switched mine to Windows 10 as I was having other problems. So far it hasn't been too bad although there are always differences which take a bit of getting used to.

I am sure I will be much better off when I have everything upgraded and running fine on 10

Several days ago my computer was upgraded automatically. I didn't like it very much since I was not interested in upgrading it as long as it worked fine. It also spent me quite a long time upgrading.

Eventually I will probably get used to it. At least I hope so.

Oh dear. My friend and beta reader got stuck with Windows 10 when she brought a new computer this week.

I feel like 10 would be okay if it was original to the machine. Since for me it is an upgrade on a Windows 8 laptop I am just waiting for it to have trouble.

I understand that as the deadline for free upgrades approaches, Microsoft has taken to automatically installing Win10 unless the user specifically opts out.
