Brain Fog and Almost a Big Faux Pax

United States
June 23, 2016 10:50am CST
Today I feel totally lethargic and my brain seems to be switched to off. I've already had my usual two cups of coffee and the caffeine has done nothing to jolt me into reality. I don't actually feel tired just that my head refuses to work. To prove my point I decided that needed to get some bills paid so I took them out of my desk drawer and entered them into my checkbook. Did the correct math deducting them from my balance and then realized that I never went online to actually pay them. Thank goodness I realized it or those few bills would never have been paid. It certainly would have been a huge faux pax on my end. We're having showers in the surrounding areas but sunshine here today. What's new in your neck of the woods?

I have brain fogs when I am extremely tired. I try not to do any work that involves all my mental faculties to be present during those times.

I had 2 cups of coffee this morning instead of my usual 1. I was up last night reconciling my checkbook but I don't do online banking.

Oops, that makes me feel better seeing how I am the person who will pay the bill twice on occasion-you know we all make mistakes! Not much going on here. My husband and I just returned from picking up some new orange coloured mulch so that he can put it in one of the beds that doesn't have any in it. I'm hoping that this will keep the snakes away as they don't like that stuff I'm told.

I hate those foggy brain days, no telling what I'm likely to forget to do.

That is good that you remembered the bills or something important might have been turned off.

I go online first and pay them right from my checking account or I would forget to.

I don't like paying bills online - I'd rather pay by direct debit - no errors that way.

I keep away the brain fog by taking a break from the job or a nap.

Nothing much new, I finished up my dental work today, so that's good. I did worse than you about bills a few months ago. I put the bill near the computer so I would see it, the bill slid under something and I forgot about it. Luckily they sent an email saying it hadn't been paid.

I've done that. I hate when I have trouble getting my brain out of neutral.

I've done that before with my bills and once when mailing two I almost sent the wrong check to the wrong people, in fact, I did lick one of the envelopes shut but caught it before doing the same with the second one. I don't think I was in a fog that day, just not paying the best attention.

Apart from roos eating my Indian hawthorn there isn't too much new here. We really need to get off the computers and do a few chores though. :)
