The Last Hours

The last time I used a phrase similar to this, was when my mom was suffering an aneurysm and waiting to die. She did eventually die silently in her sleep which was a blessing.
My oldest cat of 17 years had a stroke in the night and this morning was terribly disoriented, unable to get our of her bed, nor walk. I contacted my vet who, knowing the family and the history of our beloved Sabrina, has suggested that we keep her comfy and warm and observe her in her last hours.
If she is to become too distressed, the vet will pay a home visit to put her gently to sleep . . .
I cannot say more - my day is going to be very difficult and sad.
keep us in your thoughts.

With the long years that your Sabrina has been with you, I'm sure it would be painful to see her go.

I am so sorry, your day is going to be difficult and very sad. I am sort of living it as well. My sister, who now lives with my mom, around the corner, lost her cat of 18 years just yesterday. It's really hard to lose a loving companion. I'll be thinking of you.

I was responding to another post, then see your cat to the right of my screen. I looked and see your cat passed the way one of mine did from a stroke, so sorry.
