Hoarding food

As I was answering a post from a friend here, I discovered that I had become a food hoarder.
A couple of years ago I bought a deep freezer and discovered that it froze so much better than the freezer in the fridge.
At that time I had started to go to the farmer´s market that has huge and good butcheries, with better ans less expensive meat than the one in the super. I started buying.
Now I think I should stop and save by using the frozen food I have. I have also frozen veggies bought on season.
If I stopped hoarding, maybe I could pay for my holidays easily.
Are you a hoarder in any way?

I'm not a hoarder by nature, but I know exatly what you mean by this. I haven't seen the bottom of my freezer for yonks, I'm sure there are things in there that need eating.
Thanks for the reminder, I will be trying to sort my freezer out in the next few days.

I started like that, but now I have found out that some of my buys have been saved for some time. I have to start using them.

@vandana7 I did that when I had a bigger family. I worked so I tried to use my time in the best way. Now I am retired and it is a good thing to walk to the super, even for bread.

@marguicha ...No no...when I do the shopping, I buy for the entire month. If papa does the shopping, for some reason, he buys as per immediate necessities.

I have one of those deep freezers too and it's so easy to fill it up when things are on sale. Mine is also full and I should stop buying until everything is eaten. Guess I have a tendency to hoard food a bit too

This coming holiday is making me think that I have a lot of "hoarded money". And that if I eat the food I have there, I will pay easily for my trip.

I have a freezer and three refrigerators. They came in handy when both my sons lived home and for entertaining. Now, we only use one in the kitchen, and a mini fridge in a cabinet for drinks in one of the family rooms. Are you referring to my hoarding post of my pantry in Florida? Lol!

I was!
I understood the toilet paper, but I would not use up so much space in cleaning products. But I know that american houses and a lot bigger than mine.

I discovered that I had a very good amount of money in my piggybanks when I got the coins out for my vacations.

@marguicha Actually, I really not intend to save them. I just like to look at them because they are shiny and golden in color.

In the past when I only worked during the school year having a freezer full of food made it easier to wait for another paycheck. I do not need to do that now, but I do anyway.

My problem is that I stock up food and then don´t use the ones I bought first. I will have to check that now.

I think that I have the potential to be a hoarder. I work hard at keeping everything decluttered.
