I have stated many times that we have had very little rain in the last six weeks, maybe longer. A week or so ago we had 1/2 inch one day and 3/8 another day. When I tell my friend (who lives in the same state I do but up in the mountains) she doesn't believe me. They have had tons of rain during the same period we've had basically none.
Hum, I guess I am so stupid I have no clue what rain is - according to her anyway! She told me she watches the weather map all the time (she really does) and that she always sees green/yellow on the map indicating rain where I live
So instead of getting into an argument with her this is what I said, "The next time you see green/yellow on the map take a screen shot and e-mail it to me."
She has no clue what a screen shot is or how to take one which is why I suggested it LOL. Her comment back to me was, "Well I haven't seen the green/yellow for a while now."
Sometimes less really is more!

The rain moves (normally) west to east and she is east of us, her rain comes from clouds developing over the mountains where she lives. She complains about snow/ice in winter and too much rain in summer - go figure!

The radar is not 100 percent accurate, but to tell me I got rain when I didn't....come on...she's a very strange person and I don't know why I bother.

@JudyEv Nope - she told me there was no rain showing on radar where I live...see, she is always opposite of what is happening in reality.

@miniam We don't talk on the phone, most of our communication is e-mail so I can just del them and ignore the stupid comments! Sorry that your husband is one of them...

I work with someone who is always trying to prove herself to everyone and will argue or even try to come up with stuff to have others answer trying to make them look dumb. It usually backfires on her. I live rural about 12 miles from Scio but my address is Scio. It rains here a lot vs in the actual town but if I say it rained she will look it up and say, "no it didn't. Scio only showed clouds." I usually look her in the eye and tell her I have no reason to lie about rain at my house. She will sputter and walk off huffy.

She sounds like she could be related to the person I know LOL. We just had a storm and got 1 1/4 inches of rain - I sent the know it all an e-mail - she wrote back and told me that the rain showing on her weather map isn't near me...she's nutz!

@AbbyGreenhill We had such a dry spring after very little snow in the winter. But lately it has been raining regularly. The garden loves it.

I live in the mountains and my friend lives further east. We occasionally have rain conversations too.
