@LoriAMoore after she read my post on state motto.
she gave hers from Kentucky.
Then she gave me an idea about asking everyone one here.
What is your state motto there?or country.
Thought that this should be an interesting subject.
Are you game to join in.We loved it to see it here.
For us as many you know Live Free or Die is ours

Also wanted to let you know after reading some comments on your blog post,
My music genre is pretty diverse, I love classic rock so there's some rock elements but also pop and folk. Every songs kind of different.
And I'm 17 years old, and wrote and produced all of my music by myself.

Here in North Carolina the state motto is "Esse quam videri" which translates to "To be rather than to seem". We are known as the Tar Heel state.

@amadeo There are several theories of where this nickname comes from. The most plausible is that during the Civil War when troops from other states were retreating from a particular battle, the North Carolina regiment held their ground like their heels were stick in tar.

Australia doesn't seem to have a motto. Written on our coat of arms is 'advance Australia' but I don't think you'd call that a motto.
