~I Will Do It While Their Away~

As you know my kids are away for camp for a few days. They will be back on Wednesday evening. While they are gone I am planning on re-organizing all of their bedrooms. It's a lot of mess because they really don't have much space to put everything. I am going to try to fix that situation for them. It's going to take a while but I am determined to get it done!
I won't share a picture of their room because I don't want to scare anyone Lol.
Any plans for today?

That's what we're trying to do - rearrange the kids' rooms! But mine are here . . . I'm making them help but that's not so easy. Believe me, I wouldn't post pics of their rooms either! We're going to see a free live show at the theater this morning - and then we come back home to work on art projections for a competition at the county fair.2 people like this

@LovingMyBabies Thank you - you too! The other day we worked on my daughter's room but today hopefully we finish my son's. But then it's a matter of maintaining - that's the super hard part in which we have never succeeded in doing

@much2say I am finding it so much easier when they are away, no complaining and no getting under my feet. Lol. I finished my son's room and I just have the girls closet left. I hope you enjoy your day!

@dodo19 It's mostly clothes that I have to go through. The toys they have now are things they still play with and not a whole lot of them.

@LovingMyBabies that's good though. Although you just reminded me that I have to go through my kids' clothes. Especially my girls's. Their drawers are a mess.

Finding space is always hard especially when kids have toys, etc in their rooms. Good luck with your organizing and it will probably be easier without the kids there to get it all done

@Marilynda1225 Yeah the girls share a room and it's not very big so it's hard to find room for everything. They have basically shoved everything into corners and their closet! It is frightening. I think they will be happy when they come home to a clean room. =)

I did exactly the same as you today - blitzed the younger two's bedroom while they were at school. It's not quite finished but I'll carry on tomorrow (again while they're at school!)

@chrisandmark I got my son's room completely finished. The girls closet is all I have left and I am also thinking about doing that tomorrow since I did a lot today. I hope you get yours accomplished as well. =)

One thing I've found that works when you don't have a lot of space for storage is... go up - as in multiple shelves going up the wall. You can add books, toys, bins with crayons or small toys, etc.
My plans for today is to mow the yard. I've gotten about half of it done, but dread the rest because I have tables, toys, chairs, etc. to move before I mow. I guess that's the reason I'm here instead of outside lol
