Ever wish there were two of you?

Last night was one of those nights I needed two of me. I had a softball game at 6:30 and then a bluegrass open mic/jam at 7:30. I thought of blowing one or the other off, but ultimately decided to "stand in the fire." I went to the softball game, didn't stay to chat after the game, got to the open mic/jam late, did a couple of sets with friends, and then came home and crashed. It was fun, but it would have been a bit more relaxing if I'd had an extra Horse. Do you ever feel like you wish there were two of you so you could get everything done?

While I love the idea of having two of me, I think people would be emotionally exhausted if that happened.

I'm emotionally exhausted trying to get done what I need to get done. And there's only one of me.

@polyxena I'm sure most people think one of me is plenty.

@TheHorse Well that'd be a great reason to have two of you, but I'm sure most people don't have two of me.

I'd have to say a little of both. My medical insurance comes from one of my jobs. But I enjoy my work.

No one is enough. If I am working in office I should not like to present in the same time in home. LOL

Right about now I'd like to be playing guitar, writing on MyLot, and playing softball catch with a friend.

I don't think the world could handle 2 of me @TheHorse . But yeah, for getting chores done, I wish there was another me.

I don't want to turn into a Type A personality type. They tend to overextend themselves. I'm basically mellow, but I'm doing too much.

I would love two of me, I would make her do all the house cleaning while I was out fishing lol. Sounds like a plan.

In my fantasy, both would have the same memories. Maybe they'd have to trade memories at the end of the day and use the little flashy thing from "Men in Black" to erase the memory of getting hooked up for the exchange.

Yes, it would be very useful at times. Were you playing softball, or watching?

Often felt that way but it's been a very long time. Fingers crossed. But it sounds as if you had an embarrassment of riches, there, lotsa fun, your cup runneth over, etc.

Yeah, it wasn't like either of my selves had to do anything terrible, like serve Jury Duty. I was just overbooked. Today I can relax, relatively speaking.

Of course I overthought it. The two would have to daisy-chain their brains at the end of each day, so they could have the same thoughts.

Not in years. When I taught and was enrolled in an MBA program, the school moved Back to School night so it would not conflict with the World Series. That was wise, but it was then a conflict with one of my classes. I make a video of myself doing my usual Back to School talk and had a small group of AP German students show the video and answer questions. The parents thought it was hysterical. They said, "She has finally found a way to be in two places at once." The principal was not amused.

I have felt like this numerous times. I am the type of person that cannot say no to others so i would pile myself up with things that seem impossible to complete. I enjoy helping others so i do not mind at all
