Temporary is better than nothing

United States

I was offered a temporary job today, It will be for the whole month of September. A acquaintance of mine is a retired nurse, and every year so goes to the local schools, senior centers etc., giving flu shots. She mentioned she needed a clerk to go with her, to do the paperwork, another friend of ours, told her I was looking for a job, so she called me, and hired me...yea! A temporary job is better than no job, at least it's a place to start. Have you ever had a temporary job?

I agree with you. To have a job is better than not to have a job at all, even if it's just temporary.

The job sounds interesting, and it sure is meaningful. You are helping to safeguard the health of the people, and you get to meet so many people every day. I think you have to get used to babies and young children crying when they get the shot!

Many years ago - I did temp work while out of a 'real' job - It was ok, but glad my working days are long gone.

This is good. You don't know what it might lead to and it will look better on your CV than a month of not working.

yes, I've got one now. The pay is rubbish but any job is better than no job. I'd rather be working than doing nothing, also a temp job could lead to better things.
