A 70th Birthday Party

Last Sunday I went to a 70th birthday party of a friend. It was 30 klms away in the next village. The connecting dirt road is always a worry especially after all the rain we've had but I was surprised to find it in excellent condition. Local council is doing a fair bit of work on it and lots of us wonder if this is a precursor to finally sealing the road properly. it was a lovely few hours catching up with friends and acquaintances. The birthday girl had asked for a pearl bracelet so I made her 2 and she loved them. So did another guest so I took her order with a promise to post them to her on completion..

That is a really lovely bracelet. I have a 70th coming up at the end of the month. I can't believe it really. I think I'm more sad than excited. In fact I'm certain I am!

i think the bigger the number the more reason to celebrate. i think it's great if you have someone throw you a party. I've never had a party.
