What an Experience

I went grocery shopping yesterday and bought enough food for about 6 months, mostly meats as I had just about gone through all the meats in the freezer. The store Fairway has such an excellent meat department and I love shopping for meat there. Now again the freezer is filled up. I also stopped at the Walmart store and bought some vitamins and some other miscellaneous items and my son and his wife bought some fishing items. We then stopped at Dairy Queen and bought some drinks. The picture is of the puppy who is nursing from the surrogate momma. If you have read some of my posts from the past few days you will know what I am talking about. The puppy is doing good and gaining weight. It looks like we might have a storm coming our way again as I am hearing a lot of thunder and now it just started raining..

I too am slowly emptying my freezer. I have a vacuum sealer that I just love for when meat goes on sale. I repackage and that meat is good for a year in my freezer. I will never be without my vacuum sealer

I wish we had a big freezer so that we could stock up on meats. We only have the freezer that is part of the refrigerator. The puppy is adorable! I am so happy that a surrogate was found for the precious little one.

@simone10 The freezer comes in real handy for those specials on items to be frozen. The little puppy is gaining weight and seems to be doing really well.

@Marcyaz We had one when I was young and my parents had it stocked full of meat. They would go to the meat market when items were on sale and stock up.

Nice you shopped good for many days to prepare in case there is bad weather. I am so happy puppy has her own surrogate mom.She is doing fine and gets shabby now, so cutie puppy.Love you pups.

@cacay1 Yes with the weather you never know when you might need extra or for how long and maybe others will need food also. The puppy is nursing fine and will be sweet like her momma.

@JustBhem Yes they were able to find a lady with a nursing dog who had one puppy and was willing to take this puppy until it is old enough to eat regular food.
