Boy is it hot, but not as hot as Phoenix

Max is one very happy boy, Meetzee is grooming him.

tI have been dealing with the 100+ temperatures we've been getting lately and I tend to think that we've really got it bad here. Well, a young man in Phoenix helped me realize that it's actually much cooler here than where he is .... at one point they got up to 120 HOLY S***T that's HOT HOT HOT!! My lil Boobear doesn't seem interested in meeting the newbees, since I've allowed Max and Meetzee to wander into the house Meetzee stays under the recliner and Max hides by the door hissing at Ally every time she passes by. I keep hoping that whole display of hissing will stop soon. Oh, got to playing around on Excel again. Can you tell that Max is a little spoiled?

It's been horrible hot around here too, up in the 90's everyday and the humidity has been even worse. I have stayed inside for days.

Here the humidity is low but I don't know about Phoenix, I'd hate to be in weather where it's 90% humidity with 120 degrees, yyyyuuuukkkk

@rebelann Apparently they don't have much humidity in Phoenix, but in Chicago it's been really high and unbearable.

He is the large orange tabby. The one giving the bath is Meetzee.

I suppose it's similar to my Meetzee @Hannihar mom picked up a few German pet names when we were in Germany but I am not sure if I am spelling it the way she did. Mom used to have a German friend and when we moved back to the states they would write each other then in the 1970s her friend stopped writing.

@rebelann I had a cat name Mitzi but it was spelled the way I wrote it in English.

I don't think you'd like it here either although today has been kool so far, only about 98 or so and it's gotten cloudy

It is burning in Arizona. It's in the low 90s here in Southern California but the real heat usually doesn't begin until August.

Yeah, I know AZ is usually hotter than the rest of us but do they usually get the 120s that often?

That'd be enough for me to want to move @JohnRoberts I imagine they get the 110+ weather quite often. I guess I'm lucky, we usually don't get a lot of temps over 110 but 109 can seem mighty hot when sittin in a mobile home with no A/C

I hope you're correct, so far my kitty wants nothing to do with these 2 and poor Ally, my dog, just wants to be friends with them.

She isn't the problem @miniam those 2 cats want nothing to do with my dog and the younger one has already attacked more than a few dogs in her day .

Yes they are a bonded pair, mom found both of them as little kittens eating her German Shepherds food right from under that dogs nose and she never did anything to them, they all got along so well. She found Max first, he's the orange tabby, about 2 years before Meetzee came along.

What a delightful picture - it looks as if those two are sticking together. Wow - those temperatures would be unbearable.

Thank you, yes, Max and Meetzee are bonded, they've been together ever since Meetzee showed up at the dog food bowl when she was a kitten. The funny thing to me is that both Max and Meetzee like their dog Shatzie, I just pray they remember that now that Ally is trying to be friends.

'tis true, that heat'n phoenix, but that's sorta like las vegas 'n they're accustomed to such. we made't to 109 yesterday here...'bout 20 degrees o'er our 'norm' fer this time'f year. but seems we've a new 'norm' this year. mr. max aint spoilt, he's jest gettin' his ears clean :) 'pparently he missed a spot'r 2, lol. hopefully all'll settle down't 'cher place soon, hon. these thingies take time, particularly when those cats aint used to pups.

We usually get the high triple digits every few years but it comes in June mostly, July is when we start to cool down to the upper 90s most of the time. Well, our planet is changing climate wize anyway so who knows what the new norms are gonna be. Max is the oldest member of my furmily and has trouble grooming himself so I get the feeling that Meetzee helps him keep clean ..... but she doesn't do a very good job of it so I take a damp washcloth and rub him down a little sometimes, he seems to like that.
