Do you talk to yourself in your dreams?

Last night I had an unpleasant dream. It seemed to never end, but in my dream I told myself to just get through it because there WOULD be an ending. While it wasn't a nightmare, I have had nightmares where I knew I was dreaming and I kept telling myself to open my eyes. Just open my eyes and it'll be over. Sometimes I can wake myself up. How about you guys?

I've done that too. One part of me saying 'wake up, wake up'. Sometimes I do wake up; sometimes I think I've woken up but I'm still in my dream.

Isn't it funny when you think you are now awake but are still dreaming.

Yes, I remember that while I am dreaming sometimes I force myself to wake up to end the dream.

Sometimes it will seem like I am running parallel trains of thought in my dream. There will be a problem situation in my dream, but I will explain it to myself that it is due to such and such a circumstance in my waking world. So yes, I guess I do talk to myself in my dreams.

I very rarely remember my dreams, but I have occasionally made myself wake up.

I don't dream very often, you kindof have to sleep to dream (insomnia stinks). When I do dream, I usually forget the dream.

When I was younger, sometimes I used to know when I was dreaming and if I wanted to wake up, I would shut my eyes really tight and when I opened them, I would be awake in bed Unfortunately I don't seem to have that ability anymore! Can't remember the last time I knew I was actually dreaming.

Likewise, I realize that I am dreaming and say to myself in my dream that this is a dream.

I usually have conversations with other people when I do have them. One time god and I were talking about religion and how it really shouldn't exist because it spreads a flawed message that has been crafted by human hands. It was a good topic and his points made a lot of sense. Of course, when I told the Christian fellowship of that dream they just told me it was someone evil. But evil likes religion, so they wouldn't want it destroyed. Only something that doesn't need religion is fine without it.

I've been finding lately that I'm talking in my sleep, something I never used to do, but when I do, I wake myself up as well, end of dream.

You have some awareness, it seems, that you are dreaming...have you ever tried to guide your dream or influence it, like a lucid dream?

People say I do talk continuously in my sleep. That too I go on speaking in English. They try to understand but fail.
