Varicose veins anyone?

I am just diagnosed with symptoms of varicose veins in the left leg. I was feeling very uncomfortable and weak, and even used to get cramps. I got myself thoroughly checked up and that was the diagnosis. I have been prescribed a certain kind of footwear and if the situation continues then I may have to wear some kind of stockings. Has anyone else here has this issue and how are you taking care of it?

I've never had that problem but a friend of mine did a few years ago and she ended up having surgery to have them removed.

My sister had experienced this, she used to massage it with luke warm water added a half table spoon salt on it and massage every morning and before bed time. Very effective.

Nope i've never had it but I know some people that do. I hope it doesn't progress and goes away on it's own. I'm surprised i don't have it as I sit alot of the time for work and at home.

Normally sitting or standing for several hours does this to the veins

I am very sorry to hear this, allknowing! One of my uncles had to wear some sort of pressure stocking to help him with the pain from varicose veins. Sorry, I can't remember what kind of pressure stocking, though.

@allknowing I believe varicose veins can be overcome and they go away if you catch it early enough and actively try to keep them from getting worse. I don't know if you would want to read this, but I thought it might give you some suggestions you or your doctor might not have thought about. Possibly some of these home remedies will help you with the pain, too. I hope so, at any rate. I wish you much luck with reversing the varicose veins, allknowing. If there is anything I can do for you, please let me know.

Mine are not showing but the doctor says they could but has recommended certain measures. Neuropathy is quite painful. Have you tried epsom salt bath? I got to know about epsom salt through @Eliza. She recommended it for pain relief but I did some study and found this salt is excellent for many many situations. You can dip your feet in warm water to which this salt is added.
