In Memorium for Marshall Howe 12/31/1999--8/9/2016.

Fellow Mylotters, today I said goodbye to Marshall. The vet said he had a high fever and a huge abscess near his brain. He didn't look too well. He was in pain and suffering and there's no course of action for treatment. So I had to put them to sleep. 
I'm glad I was there to say my final goodbyes to him with final petting and massages to calm him down. I cried and thanked him for being with me for 10 wonderful years. I would always remember him and cherish the memories I had with him. At 4:32 PM, he passed away and went to Heaven with God. We've been through a lot together and I'll have Wylie for as long as I can to move on and move forward. If anything happens to him, no more pets for me.
I do have a final photo of him at the vet from my brother's smart phone. I'll post it when I have it to share. It cost me $235 total.

Aw . .it's such a hard process, even though you know he is out of pain. So hard to lose our faithful friends. Big hugs

I am so sorry. It is always hard to lose a pet as they become a member of the family. My thoughts are with you. I was hoping to hear he got better.

@KristenH Yes, it would be nice to know what bit him. From what you told me, yes he was in a lot of pain from the way it sounded. I know if something on us is infected it hurts so you know it did on him to.

@melissa1024 Me too. I know he gave me a paw a couple of times, but I didn't see anything near, around or him. Maybe it happened when I was away. I know. I could see how his eyes looked watery too. I hate anything that flies, except for birds now.

I am so sorry for your loss--my 14 yr old is over at the vet's getting xrays as we speak--if the news is bad, I don't know what we will do

@KristenH dont turn down other kittehs, eventually. I know now is not good, but they all bring something different. Never a replacement, always just new loves.
