All's well that ends well

Last Monday a week ago the Cub dealership's owner personally came to pick up our Cub tractor to get it painted. They damaged it while they had it for almost two weeks working on the problem of it not running. Anyway, my husband gave them until the end of that week and called. They were having a hard time getting the right color paint. We got a phone call Tuesday morning that they were loading it up to deliver back to us. Needless to say my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb when it arrived. It looked good. The guy said that Cub sent them the wrong color paint and they had to take the bumper off and take to a place in Knoxville, TN to get a color match. They had to buy a whole case of paint (so they have lots of touch-up paint now). He said they fixed a few scratches on the front end of the machine (which they probably caused also). Anyway, it's back, it runs well, it looks good and like I said....all's well that ends well. Photo is mine

Bottom line, be careful of client's machines when they come in for work.

@AbbyGreenhill .....Just lack of care. They weren't paying attention. Poor service and lack of attention to detail. Sure am glad it was taken care of and you are happy with it.

You got that right. They even keep them inside since the 'area' has problems. I still think it happened when an employee took it home to test it out.

@celticeagle I just mowed about one and a half acres and since it's so dry the poor baby is filthy dirty LOL. It runs good and before it got dusty it looked good

Let's hope that the tractor saga is over and that it will work well from now on. It's great that it looks like new again, in fact it's NEW.

@AbbyGreenhill Fantastic! It's good to have something we can rely on. Now it's dry here too.

I just mowed, and since its so dry the poor tractor looks like it's beige. It will wash off - it runs great and some of our 'weeds' were a few feet high and it took them down.

lol I would have been tempted to tell them another color, of my choice was ok, if they'd repaint the whole thing. Fire engine red! lol

If we wanted a red one we would have bought a brand that has red...LOL.

@AbbyGreenhill lol, I figured the brand mattered more than the color of the brand

It seems like everything we do turns into a sage of one kind or another - I thought we'd be drama free living in the boonies LOL.

@AbbyGreenhill Some people are never drama free wherever they live - always something happening.

@JudyEv If company's made their products property, and other people did their jobs properly there would be a lot less drama all over.

If you want the job done to your perfection then you need to do it yourself, this is what I've learned.

In this case not true - it needed to be professionally painted.

Wow, that was a long time. But at least they got it all fixed in the end. What a long saga, huh? Looks good!

Thanks, yes considering we bought it the end of May and only got to use it less than two weeks total until now.

Glad you got them to get the job done, sometimes even when they mess up places do not want to fix it

When you spend thousands of dollars on something and it's brand new you make noise until they make it right and we did.
