I will not post again until Thursday. I do plan, however, to get in here to do at least a few notifications each day. Sorry to say, when I say a few, that is what I mean. Monday: Quilt guild in the morning. It's Dollar Day at the Kansas State Fair so I will be meeting up with the kids for the rest of the day there. Tuesday: Sewing club at church 10 am until I have to leave to have my son to his drug court at 2 pm. Then it's bowling in the evening. Wednesday: Hubby's day off work so it's our turn to go to the State Fair for the day together. Thursday: Babysitting out of town for my middle daughter while they work 11 am to 8 pm. That is why I will finally have time to relax and do online stuff. Friday: Babysitting while they work 8 am to 2 pm. Of course I am staying overnight Thursday night. Saturday---Hoping for a full day at HOME!! Take care everyone!

Have you noticed life is getting busier as you get older?

Sure seems it should be the opposite. Of course once I was done home schooling I started joining the sewing groups and then other activities got started at church. I do enjoy all of them though.

Quilt guild?...do you mean you make the American type blanket things out of spare material? I went to a museum of buildings once as a kid where they had either original buildings that had been moved there or reproduction buildings. They had an old, maybe what you'd call colonial, american log cabin and this lady was sewing a quilt out of all different sorts of material. Since then I've loved American quilts but to get a real one is so expensive over here I'd like to make one myself but I'd actually have to go and buy the material and cut it into squares which seems a bit false to me in a way Ps..sorry I ignored the rest of your discussion but I do like those quilts

Quilt guild is a group of quilters, yes. It's state fair time and so many of the ladies have entered their quilts and other projects and have won ribbons, including one lady who won the grand champion award for one of her quilts! Hubby and I will spend a lot of time in the building with the quilts when we go together. Yes, it takes a lot of time to cut those squares to make blocks for quilts. You have to admire the older older generation who made quilts out of necessity with their old clothing. That is what I consider to be true American quilting.

@marsha32 I bet one of those old quilts would go for thousands now.

Found out today that I won't be babysitting Friday. Too bad though as I'm sure my mom, knowing I am home for the day, will find places she wants to be taken to.

One day at a time is all that I can do. I was hot all day but now that I am actually sitting I'm finding it to be to chilly in the house.
