Ma wooda been upset, she was so very stuperstitious and never drove on the 13th so I'd tease her and tell her it was my lucky number.
I had a great day yesterday, due to so much construction going on I took the long way round to get where I wanted to go and it paid off, I got some photos of our desert round here so I could show you. Of course most of the photos I'll be posting about this was taken of parts of Southern NM. Ummm, I don't like cities so there aren't buildings in them unless they're in the distance.
This is of the mountains just northwest of Chaparral NM, I was on a road I've always referred to as Anthony's Gap. So what do you think of this desert of ours?

That is beautiful. I have never been to the desert. I would love to see it in for real some day.

I usually don't get inspired to take photos when it's a normal dry desert @Happy2BeMe but boy when it rains this desert turns green over night which is inspirational

@enlightenedpsych2 ... You have to live through the noise we have to know what it is like at this end.

I'm sure glad you think so but I have to admit I wouldn't mind if there were a forest and lake closer for me to visit.
