Prettiest Public Restrooms

One of the things I like about the Paris Hotel and Casino is their public restrooms.
While most public restrooms in the U.S. are sterile, utilitarian and often messy, the restrooms in the Paris Hotel are lovely.
They also have a housekeeper who is in there continually, wiping out the sinks, refilling the paper towels, mopping the floors and keeping everything fresh and clean. They even smell nice.
It is actually a pleasant experience to walk into this restroom. I wish more public facilities were like this!

@hereandthere - I agree that you feel as if you are using a private sink and mirror, and not sharing with a dozen other people!

@MattMeng - I believe it used to be a 5-star hotel, but it has gotten older and was downgraded. They are renovating it, so perhaps it will go back to being 5 stars again.

@jstory07 - Make sure you check out the restrooms that surround the casino at the Paris Hotel. They are the nicest I have seen in Las Vegas.

@DeborahDiane Looks like they went for the no-touching faucets for hygiene - not sure if they're available in the style closer to the sink or the whole restroom...

@LadyDuck - I didn't even notice the modern faucets until you mentioned them. You are right. They should be changed so they suit the style of the sinks.

@JudyEv - I agree that I hate walking into a gross, gritty restroom. These are very nice and are kept clean all day.

@Juliaacv - It is actually sort of sad that a clean, attractive restroom should be so unusual! I wish more were like this.

@crazyhorseladycx - I agree that most public restrooms are terrible. It does help that there is constantly someone inside to keep them clean.

@crazyhorseladycx - I agree! It absolutely shocks me the way people leave public bathrooms ... throwing trash on the floor, etc.

The restroom attendant is a French thing. It is nice, since they keep it clean. But they should be tipped.

@ElizabethWallace - I don't think you are allowed to tip them at the Paris Hotel. While I have been to many upscale restaurants where I tipped the attendant, there was not a tip jar in this one and the attendant did not hand out towels or address the patrons in any way. They just were always there cleaning. It was very interesting ... and much more pleasant than most restrooms.

wow that is amazing. You can tell that they take pride in their hotel. More places should be like that. The don't have to be as fancy and upscaled as this one but they could be clean and tidy and smell nice. I don't think that is too much to ask for.

@Happy2BeMe - I agree. It seems reasonable to expect that all public restrooms are clean, tidy, attractive and nice smelling. The world would be a better place!

I have not been to that one, but it sounds great. Yet, how would it be working in the "Ladies" or the "Mens" eight hours a day I wonder?

@JamesHxstatic - Yes, that is an issue. It could get uncomfortable and unpleasant cleaning a restroom all day long!

It is beautiful. I have a habit of looking for the most beautiful restrooms wherever I go. The Ritz Hotel in Paris, The Copacabana in Rio, The Peninsula and Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong, and The Westin in New Orleans were all gorgeous. I liked that they had cute hand towels, too. Lol!

@DianneN - The hotels you mentioned are all exceptional ones. What surprised me about this restroom is that it is alongside a very busy, public casino. I didn't expect it to be so clean and nice ... whereas I would expect that in the hotels you mentioned. It is much more pleasant when we have the opportunity to use a clean, attractive public restroom, isn't it?
