Charmian Carr passes away. :(

Just read now that Charmian Carr, who played Liesl in The Sound of Music, has passed away at age 73 from complications from a rare form of dementia.
Very sad. I had only ever known her from The Sound of Music. Not aware of anything else she was in.
She was always one of my favourites when I was little when I first saw the movie. She had a really nice voice and I always used to sing along with her when she was singing "I Am Sixteen Going on Seventeen" which apparently she was actually 21 when she did that.

I once saw the movie. Sound of Music is a beautiful movie . . My wife loves to sing (to teach) the "Doe a deer, a female deer . . ." to our 5-year-old grandson. My wife sings well . . I can carry a tune, too . . but there are days when I could not carry some notes!

. . . I am trying to learn this at a lower key. I am thinking to sing it (karaoke) next month when we attend the 60th birthday of our lady friend, whose name is Caroline! My wife knows the song . . so, I guess we should rather do a duet . .

It was her beautiful eyes that had me hooked as a child when I watched the movie! And if I recall correctly, she "retired" from acting after The Sound of Music and went into the interior decorating business. And you'll like this Dani...one of her clients was MJ!
