Funny thing about this "leisurely" day I started

Eugene, Oregon
September 19, 2016 11:16pm CST
I slept until 7:30 AM, an hour late for me, then got up intending to myLot, eat breakfast, do some yoga for my unreasonably stiff back and just take it easy. Then, at about 10:10 AM, I got a text from a friend at the old birdseed store, saying that the woman working with her was ill and needed to leave. What was I to do? I replied that would be in by 11 AM and made it by 10:40, so Katherine could go home. I only stayed until 1 PM when another person came in, then came home, wolfed a sandwich and went to play ping pong for two hours. Then there was a stop at Trader Joe's and home to fix dinner (meaning warm up leftovers and cook a veggie) while Anne went to her Tai Chi class. Finally sat back down to this keyboard at 8:45. Oh well, it was a busy day. Do your days ever seem to have a mind of their own?

Yes, and another employee asked me to split his shift today since he has a doc appointment. It will only be three hours though.

@sallypup What was that old Gordon Lightfoot line from a song, "I feel like I'm winnin' when I'm losing again."

They used to. Not driving seemed to help that out though. No one to take me anywhere so I don't get that busy. My daughter sure is kept busy at time with her demanding son. Sounds like you had a pleasant day though.

Too many times my days seem to have a mind of their own. I plan my program and everything has to be changed.

Yep...mine totally do...that's good for me though...because i would rather go with the flow than have to plan my whole day and set it in stone.
