Daisy Passed The Test!

On Thursday, my brother and I were out of the apartment for almost 4 hours. I had a doctors appointment, then I had to go get a prescription filled and while I waited on that, I had three shots that I need in their clinic. We also had to go to the grocery store. We decided to let Daisy stay out with Bella while we were gone. Normally, we put her in her kennel but she never gets into anything anymore so we left her out during that time. Bella is eight years old and is always left out when we leave. I do have to admit that I thought about her the whole time we were gone and was almost afraid to open the door when we got back home. I was so afraid of what I would find. But, she passed the test! She didn't get into anything at all and was such a very good girl. I was so proud of her. Daisy is now 16 months old so I guess it's about time but she is always so hyper that I was a little hesitant. I have always hated to put her in the kennel even though I knew it was for her own good so now I don't have to worry about it anymore. *This is a picture of Daisy taken several months ago

What a relief that must be, I remember when I'd do that to Ally and boy did she hate that.

Yes, they do seem to hate being put in the kennel and I don't really blame them. They don't know that we do it so they won't get hurt.

When they're puppies they don't @simone10 but once Ally was allowed to roam the house while I was out and about I started putting her food in the kennel so now she's comfortable in there even though I never have to lock the kennel door.

@rebelann Daisy's kennel is put away but when it has been out, she enjoyed going in and out.

Poor Daisy, she is so cute, I am glad that she passed the test and she will not go in "jail" anymore.

Lol...that is exactly how it felt to me...putting her in jail. She always looked so sad.

@LadyDuck She is happier although she does get upset when I am gone. I can hear her whine for a little bit but she stops.

That's sweet. We made the mistake of leaving one day and didn't put the puppies in the kennel. Oh my...we got home and they had gotten on the table and gotten into the groceries we hadn't put away yet. Unfortunately they ate all of the chocolate bars, and as you can imagine, made themselves sick :(

Oh no! I would have been so afraid if mine had eaten chocolate. I'm glad that they were okay except for the upset tummies.

There are so many milestones we have to pass when we have puppies. It's been over 6 months now that she doesn't have to go in the kennel at night. She sleeps very well under the covers with Bella. This was the last major milestone and she passed with flying colors.

@crazyhorseladycx She still can be trying at times. Her personality is so different than Bella's. She is always happy an playful which can get her in trouble sometimes.

Yes, she can be trusted although we don't like to be gone for a long period of time just in case she gets bored.

I think that she's maturing from a puppy to a dog, that's wonderful that she behaved so well.
