Update: The cake came out great!

Well, the toothpick I stuck in came out fine, but the cake could have used another three or four minutes. It is just a little too moist, maybe due to the four apples I used. But, I am hear to tell you that it tastes great. I have only had two good-sized pieces so far.
Ping pong was good too, all two hours and I played pretty well.
I am just getting around to looking for the poetry though.

sure looks scrumptious! i see ya'd 2 pieces, so that must mean ya'd some fer lil ol' me? i'd not fret 't bein' a tad too moist fer yer likin' - that'll save 't from dryin' out too quickly :)

Oh, it smelled great around here with the apples and cinnamon. I forgot that I was going to put some pecan pieces in too.

Definitely, @marlina. The toothpick did not get in far enough, but the cake is half gone now. Anne took one piece over to our neighbor Janet and she enjoyed it too.
