Doctor's Appointment

My appointment with the orthopedic surgeon was this afternoon at 2:10p. I was able to dress myself and really feel like my shoulder is getting better. Just sore now when I try to lift my arm too high. ( Incase you were not aware I dislocated my shoulder on October 6th, relocated in the ER and have been working toward getting to the orthopedic surgeon to have the arm checked ever since. )
Dr. Hassinger examined the arm, saw how far I could raise it without it hurting, and looked at the x-rays taken while I was in the ER. It is amazing how everything is connected online now.
He wants me to get an MRI to be sure the rotator cup wasn't torn. So I will get a call from the imaging place, make an appointment and get that done. Then make another appointment when the doctor has the MRI results.
Ugh! Two more appointments I will have to stress over and ask for vouchers for. I sure was glad to have my daughter along. Made it all a lot easier.

I'm sorry you have 2 more to go. I'm not a fan of doctor's myself at all. I hope everything goes smoothly for you. =)

It is just such a hard process for me. I stress over it for days, have to find transportation, then have to get dressed and wait for the ride. Ugh! Hurry up and wait. I'd rather stay home.

When you have important medical appointments it is good to have someone else with you. I hope the end result is that your shoulder is okay.

A shoulder problem can be so painful. I have had a frozen shoulder a couple of times and it was so painful it made me sweat! I still cannot sleep comfortably on that side.

That sounds awful. I always turn on the right side to go to sleep and I can't because of the problem in that shoulder. Makes it hard for me to get to sleep.

@41CombedaleRoad .....I can get comfortable on my back for a while. But mostly sleep on my left side.

@celticeagle The solution seems to be to sleep on our backs if we can do it.
