Some boots are made for walkin' and others aren't...
I bought these for my husband a while ago. I bought 'his size" and assumed he knew what size he wore LOL! Well, by the time they came his feet must have grown. He could get them on his feet, he just couldn't walk in them...tooooooo tight! He did wear them around the house trying to break them in, but that didn't happen.
I just saw them in his closet and asked about them and he reminded me of the non-fitting issues. OK, now let's dust them off and list the for sale in the Facebook Yard Sale Groups.
Not all boots are made for walkin'
Photo is mine......the sideways photo (again)
"These Boots Are Made for Walkin'" is a pop song musically composed by Lee Hazlewood and first written and recorded by Nancy Sinatra. It was released in Febr...

If there was a good place to buy boots around here then we would go that route, but we have no choice in many things, we have to shop online.

that song always amused me. I got a pair of boots on sale today, I got them a tad big and plan to move my heel inserts over, so I can actually get good use out of them

eventhough they look nice and sturdy, if he can't use them, they are useless. At least, you can get your money back from selling them

Shoes become more of a problem as we get older I am afraid. I have a perfectly good pair of sandals that I cannot wear, not because the size is wrong but because my feet are wider.

I think the more we go barefoot and/or wear sandals our feet spread. Mine usually shrink a little in winter.

I bought a pair of Doc Marten boots a month ago and until now I am still breaking them in. I love the quality and the craftsmanship of these boots, I have been wanting a pair since I was in high school. But of course I do not have that kind of money back then. Now that I can afford it, I cannot wait to wear them all the time for work. Unfortunately, these boots are not yet conditioned for walking. I also have difficulty putting these on as the leather is still stiff. But I know that with patience, time and proper breaking in, I will be walking in these boots like a boss.
Has he broken in his boots? Or perhaps return them for a larger size?

He tried to break them in obviously, but they didn't give at all and by the time he realized it - too much time had passed.

There are many Facebook Yard Sale Groups - you can join those just in your own area, which make sense.

I have not tried ordering shoes online, for that reason. Some brands fit me, others do not.

We don't have many stores - unless we drive two-three hours round trip so ordering online is our best option.
