Take the bad with the good

And I did get a little good news which makes me happy...our closing is set for Monday.....the appraisal came through with flying colors and the paperwork is all done. We won't get to meet our land buyers because they are in New Hampshire and they will be mailing their documents. But, that doesn't change the color of the money we will be getting LOL. It's been a long 4 years trying to sell, but we stuck with it and knew eventually the right buyers would come along. Sometimes life isn't fair - and sometimes it is. The barn is a 1947 tobacco barn. I quit smoking and bought land that used to grow tobacco - go figure! Photo is mine

Glad you finally got it sold. Four years is quite a while but it sounds worthwhile for the $.

@celticeagle Trip - we only go as far as 6-8 hours from home and the dog is always with us...so, we're not into flying or cruising - just road trips and not until next spring. Im not a fan of winter vacations.

No we bought it to build on - it's just vacant land but the farmer down the road mows and cuts hay.

Maybe you've been passively smoking ever since! Do you know where you're going to live? Have you bought something else yet?

I hate to say goodbye to it - I really love it, but we are far too old to sell again and build.
