The SuperMoon

The last time the moon showed up like this I was three years old. I just happen to look outside to see if my husband was home yet, and he wasn't but the moon was starting up over my neighbors home across the road.
I took this photo moments ago and edited it to cut out stuff, but this is what it looked like when it first showed its face in my neighborhood here in Ontario.
NASA says the last time the full moon was this close to Earth was 1948. You can go on-line to see it if you don't get the chance to see it in your yard.
Enjoy, I took this a minute ago.

I'm hoping of getting another from a different view. Would like to see yours.

@PainsOnSlate I've just posted it now but it isn't anything special really.

I took a few shots @JudyEv this morning will put them on my computer now and drop one on your site. I looked last night and it was covered with a layer of fog, same this morning but fun to photograph.

@PainsOnSlate Gorgeous! It looks kind of spooky peeking through the trees like that.

I took more photos this morning but it was hazy outside. City living must be hard to see the moon when you want to...

It was beautiful. We did enjoy it. It beamed down straight into our bedroom window and hubby and I spent quite a bit of time looking at it.

@PainsOnSlate We purposely opened our curtains and just enjoyed it while we talked. It was serene and it made for a nice evening.

I was impressed with it too. No light gets in my window because of a shade, I need it to be dark to sleep...

I was born in 1949 @PainsOnSlate so I'm not that far behind.

@PainsOnSlate It has started to rain a few minutes ago, it's already 3:30 PM here, I think I will not see the moon.

I'm sorry you missed it last night but maybe the skies will clear so you can see it today - miracles happen!

a lovely shot! i tried to take one earlier here, but mine didn't do out so smart, lol. the camera keeps tryin' to focus'n the trees 'n not the moon....must'a been made by a fella ;) i'm hopin' such rises 'nough here soon so's i can get a better pic. sounds more sensible than tryin' to chop down the trees
