Do you wish to know about your past life?

Pardon me because my thoughts are all over the place. So, it might get confusing but bear with me please! Immortal beings! I have heard and read about them from different sources. In Hinduism, Parshuram (incarnation of Vishnu) and Hanuman (incarnation of Shiva) are two immortals that are supposed to be still alive......more than million years after they were born. In Sikhism, the ten gurus explained the concept of "Jyoti jot" where the light that illuminated the first Guru was passed down to the successor and now resides in the eternal guru! So, only physical form perished. There have been several accounts where a person can recall their previous birth on their own and with the help of regression. According to the experts, something called "soul imprints" exists. Even science somewhat explains it. Our DNA is a database that stores all the information! That information is passed on through generations. What are your thoughts on immortality and incarnations? Do you believe it is possible to remember your past life? (Photo by Pixabay)

Sorry, I don't believe in reincarnation. One life is enough for me.

Once upon a time I was amoeba..and before that some proteins and water...to the best of my knowledge and belief..ah this can't be refuted..those who believe in reincarnation will not understand it, and those who do not, know I am talking scientific jargon. Seriously, it is only a concept to comfort people that there will be a time in future when justice will be done to them.

@Daljinder ...Yeah...god has no time to be fair or unfair...we gotta do what we gotta do...try to be fair so if there is any cosmic energy that rebounds...it comforts us ..kinda.

@Daljinder This is another thing that I am on the fence about. I haven't read into it enough for me to have a set opinion. But it would pretty much be the same as my religious beliefs. That being, I just don't know. Nice and amazing thing to think about it but I neither believe it nor disbelieve.

@Daljinder HAHA that is so cute! But I know! I just find it hard to believe in things without proof BUT it's just like that cliche thing of saying we don't see wind but we know it's real.

@VivaLaDani13 Contrary to your popular belief, you do believe. So, you are not really on the fence. But you sure are clutching it tightly and playing it safe. I should oil those fences to make your grip slippery.

Have heard of stories and sometimes things happen for which there doesn't have to be a scientific explanation. So, I neither believe nor disbelieve.

I wonder if the so called "déjà vu" are memories of our past lives. Something we do not really remember, but it comes to our mind when we see a place that we thing we already visited.

No, I don't believe it's possible to have a past life, let alone remember it.

Yes, I believe we can remember our past life.... as long as you understand I am only talking about the life we are living right now. Otherwise, when the person decides to take another spin on the game called life, their previous lives are forgotten for the next round of play. It would be cheating if they remembered how the game is played and tried to win it anyway.

I don't know if how "I use to see myself" are just in dreams or the real me, years or generations back. I see myself in a pompous gown of priced lace with an equally priced laced umbrella riding a chariot complete with a smart man seated like a mannequin while giving a horse a little whip while we were enroute a hilly somewhere. Gosh! Honestly? I don't want to know more.

@Daljinder I've had strange dreams in the past that seem like memories that might not belong to me...and they can seem so real... but that could just be a weird dream thing. I like to think that when we die we can choose to continue on and try to live another, better life in a different body, or just move on to wherever we go next ...

I would like to know. To understand why I'm like this and that and the traits that clearly didn't came from any of my parents though I'm spitting image of both of them as every one says.
