BIU Who knew? Duh! I certainly didn't

Okay, now I know I'm getting older and my powers of observation are dimming but it was only a few days ago when I noticed the BIU on the myLot code button. So who knew you could Bold, Italic and/or underline your little responses? All of you- that's who! And I just never registered that until a while back. Tsk, tsk... I think I'm starting to get worried...LOL!
Has anything like that happened to you? When you just didn't see or notice something obvious?

@MarymargII If you tap the B for bold then use the arrow key and tap back four times you'll be between the brackets. Then you can type your word.

But try to get it to work- who can get the cursor just between the brackets and do you hi-light it? It doesn't work for me so I'm really in the thick club! lol

I thought maybe they'd just been added but no- our eyes must not catch them there - they are so inconspicuous and we just see the little emojis!

@MarymargII I see that you got it. The slash is just how those commands work everywhere, not just here. I just put it in the wrong place so it would show up around the words. [s]strike through[/s] works the same way.
Yeah, I have rarely used it here.

@paigea Thanks I think I finally got it but don't understand the slash and why that was necessary on the sample? It's a bit time wasteful when you have lots of notifications- don't you think?

@MarymargII It is hard to get the cursor exactly in between It is easier if you hold part of the cursor just below the brackets. It takes practice. You will get it

I finally got the hang of it and found it time consuming. You have to properly type between the brackets after hitting the B or I or U button

Many times....I had a lot of problems getting theBIU to work but then fellow mylotters told me how to do it.
And actually it takes time so not worth unless you really want it.
