For some reason I woke up thinking it was Wednesday. How silly of me.
I soon realized it was Friday and decided to head over to the church and do my weekly cleaning before starting anything else for the day.
I found out that they are not wanting to pay me to clean anymore due to lack of finances. I only get $11 a week and I actually do depend on that $44 or $55 a month since hubby doesn't give me money. But, if they need to not pay me anymore there is nothing I can do about it...and another reason for me to get busy finishing crafts and putting them up for sale in my etsy shop in hopes of earning that way.
Speaking of that, I did list a set of Kansas City Chiefs microwave hotpads in my etsy yesterday. Today I will be listing a set of coasters with a Valentine's theme.
I put up my Frugal Friday blog post and talked about a handmade Christmas. I included the picture I have on this post. I have now completed 3 of the bags so far.
Just getting started now online past the blog post, so wish my luck!
How is your Friday going so far? Here in Kansas we've lost the spring like weather and it's turned cold out. I don't like it!

So sorry to hear about the loss of income. Every little bit helps. I like the bags. I hope you make a mint off of your crafts.
It is warm here now but Sunday we are getting a cold front.

@marsha32 Well when one door closes another will open. Are you still doing the product demonstrations at the stores?

@Shellyann36 I really only did one of those, subbing for a friend. I was doing the superfridge but Acosta bought out the company and they had someone to do it.
Then I was merchandising once a month or so with The Pet Firm....again, Acosta bought them out. I chose on my own to quit that one.

I only clean the 3 bathrooms, sweep the kitchen, clean the nursery, and sweep the fellowship hall, then take out the trash. It only takes me about 45 minutes.
I'm a nice person, but doubt I volunteer to do it with no pay....man that makes me sound and feel selfish.

That's a bummer you don't get paid anymore. I might spend more time making crafts then. My Friday went okay. I tried to get ahold of my daughter's payee. Long story. Very frustrating. Hope you have a nice weekend.

Sorry to hear that the church can't afford to pay you no more I hope your sales will pick up in your etsy stuff to make up for losing this money. I like you bags very nice.

Thanks! I have a company that owes me $75 for 3 jobs I did in August. I am having NO luck getting them to pay me no matter who I contact.
Another site said they would pay me $20 for a blog post. She wrote that she would add it to my account on that website so it would be in with the November pay. So far my account still shows $0. I guess if I don't get any money this month from them then I will write her and find out what is going on.

@LadyDuck At one time they paid a company $40 a week to do it. Then a couple volunteered to do it free. When they could no longer do it another member suggested that they hire me to do it. The low pay is due to having to earn less than that amount in a year for them not to have to pay taxes and such, or me.
We do have once a month cleaning day where members are supposed to volunteer to come do the other cleaning such as in the sanctuary. However, only 2 or 3 show up to do that now. Sadly, even I have stopped showing up on that day.
Members are perfectly capable of #1 cleaning up after themselves, #2 taking out trash when it's full, and #3 making sure the bathroom is stocked and at least wiped down like I do.

I love having a job. I like the income, I like the work, I like my co workers, BUT I sure wish I was at home more.

I´m sorry the Church won´t pay you. But then, you can tell them that you cannot do the work if it is not paid as you need to get money from some source. There are so many beautiful things you sew! And I suppose thta as Christmas is nearing, there will be a need for all sorts of things with Christmas motives, from pothloders to booties for the presents.

I wish etsy would too! I have 2 more of the doll bedding sets to finish and get listed too. I have no magic way of getting orders. Every time I put something new in I tweet about it and pin it to pinterest, and it goes on my facebook page. I need to get in the habit of also sharing an older listing each time as well.

what a shame they cannot continue to pay ya, hon. i reckon times're gettin' tough all o'er. best 'f luck with yer etsy shop. we went from the mid 80's to the mid 70's to dang! who fergot to turn the heat'n?? blustery chilly here today.

I think it is sad that they decide they don't want to pay you any more for the cleaning that you do. It is such a small amount of money that you would think they could at least afford that much but like you said what can you do? I am at work anxiously waiting for the day to end so I can do home and relax.

Our congregation is dwindling...so much so that we have only about 30 people at church each Sunday now. Offerings aren't coming in...and I know not much is coming in from me because I don't make much money.
Of course I tithe out of the small check that they do pay me each month.
