Gonna join the creeper van club

At least we think we are going to join the creeper van club. We are going to look at one tomorrow.Hopefully get it on Monday.
It has a driver seat, and a passenger seat, and lots of room for hubby's stuff. He can use it for work, he can use it for selling car products. I am a pretty happy camper. He will be too.
Our car insurance is going to send out a claims adjuster to determine if they can what caused the problem with the pickup. If it is at all possible they will cover all or part of the damage. If not, well we are not in any worse shape than when we started.
I hope @JJ does not mind us joining his club.

This will just add to our slate of choices.

@tammys85 That one did not meet hubby's standards, so we will not get it.

How do you get deliveries? Yes, I was wanting another smaller car, but that is not in the future at this time because we have a need to haul large things and the truck is no longer working.

@LadyDuck It sounds as if they have a good solution, though.

@GardenGerty The delivery vans stop on the main road and they bring down the goods with a cart. They have the habit here, in some places it's even hard to go with a cart.

After seeing it in person and driving it, hubby says, "no", so we are good, no creeper van. Ongoing search for reliable car while the truck is in limbo.

Yes, we could. Hubby and I looked at it today, though and it is not gonna join our family.

@TheHorse My first husband and I had one like this years ago. They are work vans, like for utility companies or other service companies.

It is what @JolietJake calls his big white van. I believe it is to imply that the owner is up to some "creepy" deeds, which he is not but sometimes they are regarded as suspicious. I took my daughter to the train station at 3 in the morning and the police pulled us over to check something out, mostly just us, I think. That was in my last big white van.

@GardenGerty Oh I see. During the 'magic mushroom' season in a nearby town, when the hallucinogenic mushrooms appear, anyone in a van like this, or a Kombi van, can expect to be pulled over.

I am a member of that club too. Makes camping and hauling our boat so much easier.

@JolietJake I think whatever we have hubby could fill it up. It will be nice for any multi day events cause it can pull our trailer too.

Hey now, did you forget about me? LOL Mine isn't really a creeper van since it's full of windows but I sure have been teased by lots of people since getting it that it looks like a kidnapping van.

I think of yours more like a school bus, because of the windows. Kidnapper would have a hard time hiding anyone in it. Actually yours has been a quiltmobile.

Our banker says he highly favors it. That will also give hubby something decent to drive until the truck is fixed.

Creeper Van Club First we were hoping there was a trend to have vans cruise the neighborhoods to bring shoppers to their destinations. Hmmm...wishing thinking or maybe silly thinking on my part.

In some communities around here there are access buses for that purpose, they do cost, but less than a taxi and they go to scheduled stops. I guess I could do that. Sometimes it is nice to use those services and the big van would work great for it.

@GardenGerty - Ms Heather - Have fun driving your "Creeper Van." That's a new name for a delivery van, but it is well-named - at least sometimes so. Made me laugh when I learned the "why" of the name. -Gus-

Well, in person that one was not good enough for the price. We are keeping our eyes open, though.
