How to offend people on Thanksgiving

In a recent post, I provided a link to a video of a prank someone pulled using made up book titles. They would go on subway trains and pretend to be reading books with absurd titles like "Why Women Deserve Less" or "Math for Non-Asians" and surreptitiously videotape commuters' reactions. There were some looks of horror, but mostly laughter. I shared it with a friend who teaches English in Korea, and we got to thinking about other book titles that might work for this prank. Here are a few we came up with: "Fine-Tuning Your Gaydar" "Sex with Animals: Risks and Rewards" "Penile Implants Using Everyday Household Items" "Anal Extraction of Small Mammals: A Do-It-At-Home Guide" "At-Home Abortions Made Simple" "X-Acto Blade Lasiks: A Primer" ...and of course: "Using Household Chemicals to Dispose of a Body" Can you think of other book titles that might work for this prank? Extra points awarded for making The Horse blush (I haven't blushed since in 1986) or laugh out loud. Happy Thanksgiving, by the way!

Here are controversial Book titles I can think off that will gross out people and make them cringe: Incest is Wincest Old enough to Pee , Good enough for me It is not Murder if there is no evidence Evidence that the Earth is flat

I heard it (in Montana) as "Old enough to go to the store, old enough to get bred."

@Jessicalynnt Sigh. You're a deranged woman. How could you find such things funny? (trying to think of more)

I watched that video - several times. It was so funny. You have some good titles here too. To make you blush, I'd have to be cringing and I'm not really into cringe. I'll content myself with reading the comments.

@JudyEv Heh heh. I like the self-doubt one especially! I must be a dork (confirmation: pi = 3.141592654...) but I think tap dancing is kind of cool.

@TheHorse I've just found a sheet of 'New TAFE Courses for 1988' (TAFE = Technical and Further Education). I knew I had it somewhere. I might have to do a post on these but here are a couple. They'd make book titles as well - How to Overcome Self-Doubt through Pretence and Ostentation, Sinus Drainage at Home, The Repair and Maintenance of your Virginity, Optional Body Functions, Tap Dance your Way to Social Ridicule (I've already done that one!! ) - got Honours!)

great idea - though some genuine books have that effect too - many are offended to see someone, especially male, like me reading 50 Shades Of Grey on the bus

@TheHorse yes, some of his work was banned until the 1960's and the famous Lady Chatterley obsenity trials against Penguin Books which released the work to public readership again

@arthurchappell Fascinating! I'll have to look into this further. I can't recall whether I read Lady Chatterley's Lover back in my school days.

@arthurchappell I heard it was poorly written. I wonder why it became a thing. I've read some Anais Nin. Well written, thought-provoking, and very sensual, as I recall.

If you want to me mean "A 100 ways to kill your husband/wife" - "How to rob a bank and not get caught" I can surely find more.

Stumbled into this because of the pic of Fat Freddy's Cat (love that guy!) This is an actual, for real, book title: I Could Pee on This And Other Poems by Cats.
